Why the hate for Solo Lulu?

I'm being serious...what is with people saying that she is "Cancer" as a solo laner? Why does people really hate when she leaves the support role and goes into a solo lane? Alright I can understand Top lane Lulu due to her being ranged and a strong bully against Melee champions, though I honestly think Is so much more worse to fight as a melee champion and then there is which is another common annoying champion that I'd say is worse to fight as melee...So I won't try to argue much on Lulu top..

But why are people saying Mid Lane is so much cancer and should be gutted? She is not even all that bad to fight and her damage is at best "Decent". So why is everyone hating on Mid lane Lulu so hard?

Pix to minion, Q poke. Polymorph is complete instant denial. Ultimate basically guarantees not dying in a 1v1. Polymorph turns any 2v1 gank into 1v1.

Because before all the nerf she was very annoying to deal with and almost impossible to kill post 6. Her waveclear was on par with that of Ziggs and Xerath while having tons of utilities.

Considering how hard it can be to last hit as lulu and how much mana she uses between Q and E to poke someone with the nerfed Q you can just feel it everytime you try to attack them from a distance how much decreased damage you do and if you somehow hit the minion before him he takes way less because of it which just forces her to E the enemy before hand to be able to do her Q damage which makes someone like a zilean just feel way safer as a support mid laner than her.

Because she outbullies everyone and is impossible to kill no matter how badly she messes up because of how easily her utility saves her. It isn't just Lulu. Almost every support is discouraged from playing other roles for being extremely safe lane bullies that scale too well with AP.

Even worse is top lane Lulu/Karma. Try playing a melee champ against that without throwing your PC out the window.

I'd say they're about the same, by virtue of Lulu having more utility and self-peel to compensate for lack of Jayce's damage.

But that isn't saying much, because Jayce is also really annoying.

And I'd rather fight a Teemo than a Lulu, simply because I know that if I all-in him, I might actually win, rather than just get denied through a bunch of slows.
