Trinity Force on Shyvana

So I've been playing Shyvana a lot and she used to be my main back in season 3, and I basically only play her top lane. Even to this day, I still play her top lane (idc what champion.gg says, she is still very good top lane) and with the changes to item 3078 it made me start thinking of just how good it should feel on her now. Trinity Force was always a decent item on her, though back then people didn't build it since they were better options but now that it has increased CDR (while cdr isn't as amazing on her as most fighters, it still always nice) and a lot more attack speed...it made me think if I should start building it as my only offensive item.

Usually I'll play her top lane and my build would be something like...item 3153 item 3068 item 3065 item 3083 item 3026 item 3009 obviously I'd switch my build around when certain comps come around...like maybe replace Warmogs for Banshees if they have a lot of CC and AP, or replace a tank item for item 3748 if the team is way to tanky and we need more damage.

With the new item 3078 I think it's perfect for Shyvana and when comparing it to item 3153 I think it would be a good replacement. Same AD and Attack speed, 20% CDR, extra health. Instead of an active slow, you have rage which is always usable and spellblade would do more than botrk's passive to carries. The only thing you'd miss out on would be the life steal which can be good to have but I think the extra stats just gives much more use.

So with the new Trinity Force, I could build something like...item 3078 item 3068 item 3065 item 3022 item 3742 item 3009. In cases that I need to be more tanky I could replace the Mallet with another tank item, or if we have enough tanks I could replace Dead mans for Botrk.

Do you think Shyvana would become a decent champion that can go item 3078 item 3153 into tank items like people used to with Jax Irelia back last year or so? Also I've havent tried the new item 3124 on her yet. For anyone who has, how is it on her?

I don't think it is a terrible idea. Most people will complain about the waste of mana, others will just downvote you because they are scrubs (in fact, there are people at this very moment running through the forums just to downvote any thread that they don't agree with the subject text [90% of this community is absolute shit]), but you won't know until you try it. I think it might be very good now with the extra DPS, the movement speed bonus on hit, and the double sheen proc.

Have a +1 for theory-crafting on me.

I wanted to try this too, but game ends early or my team is way behind and I don't get a chance to build TF. It's expensive and it's easier to build tanky than get TF. I play her as JG and I tried it as item 1416 item 3053 item 3078 item 3742 item 3065 item 3006 . This is what I want to try. Gage + TF have synergy. I tried item 3124 long ago and there is no synergy. Her Q ( Twin bites) doesn't work with it.

I choose gage as 2nd item for suitability.
