How does Blade of the Ruined King's passive work?

Blade of the Ruined King's Passive does 8% of the target's current health on every Auto-Attack. Does this apply before or after the Auto-Attack's damage?

Obviously, it would benefit the attacker more if it applied before (more current health = more damage). Does anyone know if it does?

It applies after the auto attack

I think it applies on hit. So when you hit them it calculates how much it will do. So in terms of what you are asking, it would be before the damage of your AA, but really I think all the damage goes through at the same time.
