How did ap nasus come about please answer and how to deal with

Well, once upon a time, Riot derped and made Nasus damage aura in his Ult scale to 1% enemy hp by 1ap, so nasus builded 100 AP and everyone died.
After that, in aram at least, Nasus doesnt have the time or minion concentration to farm his Q, so he is better off build tanky AP with a chalice to deal constant damage. Also his E and R go pretty well with a Rylai+Liandri combo.
AP nasus has always been around as mentioned in the above comments and it can deal a large amount of damage. But it is also noticeably less tanky. AP nasus basically becomes an AP bruiser and hurts like hell. To beat him, don't let him get fed. Cs helps his q and all but a nasus only going after cs is likely gonna build tanky. AP nasus is looking to get fed and become strong early but remember he's not a major tank and can be reasonably dealt with in a tank or a team fight. Just watch out for when he ults.
There's multiple ways to build champions, but tank Nasus is the popular one.
Don't be too surprised if someone does an off-build, like Mage Fortune.
Because unlike similar AoE spells half the damage from his E is instant and unavoidable, and his ult scales extremely hard with AP for one that does % max hp damage.
Too bad riot is killing all theese offbuilds with their "reworks"...
