Why do people hate jungle the most?

Erase Riven··2 votes·4,154 views

I see people crying "top switch plssss" and "idk how to jg i got autofill pls mid" or "I dodge idk how to jg". It gets very annoying, since it wastes time (dodging). As for me, a jungle main, I found no difficulty jungling when I first got the role, it's actually really fun for me.

A bunch of reasons.

  1. Small amount of viable champions.
  2. Usually those viable champions all fit the same role; Fighter, Tank, Assassin
  3. Recieves the most hate from team.
  4. Usually recieves the least support out of all positions.
  5. Drastic Jungle changes nearly every season.
  6. Riot clearly has no clue how to balance the jungle because nearly every time they change the jungle the opposite of what they want to happen happens.
  7. Many players think the jungle is a second support and should earn gold and exp at a supports rate.

Probably way more, but those are some good starting points.,

You want to know why people hate jungler. Excuse me for my language. Every facking junglers are twats. Hands down no argument here. Junglers are for people who has no confidence in their own laning abilities. They hide in their little forest and then blame the laner for dying. Personally, my own laning phase is pretty sick. I rarely lose lane. In season 6 i got to plat 3 in 45ish games starting from silver 1. Pure laning skills and mechanics. Average game knowledge but enough to climb. However winning lane isnt winning game. So with that said, those rare games i actually lose lane are because of junglers. For example, there's actually so much its getting my blood boiled up. Well first of all lets establish another fact. In no way or form should a laner be winning lane because of his jungler. He should have the ability to do so without. So back to my example, i get into my game, i exert a lot of pressure and i attract the enemy jungler. I like that because it feeds on my ego when i 2v1. Its very hard to gank me even when shoved cuz of lane control and positioning. However, i had a game once where the enemy ganked me at 3-4 min in game. I manage to outplay him and poked him pretty hard. So u know what the genius does. He waited for the ward to disappear. Which had about 40sec left and came back for more. Which he failed again.... however my own ward was on cd at this point. Which is about 30sec. He fooking sat in the bush for another 30sec.... what the actual shit and that was in low plat. So he finally got me. It was around 7minute in game and he was lvl 3. He literally gave up on his jg to be a douche. Then it was non stop camp. NON STOP. So i asked my jungler to do something. I wasnt dying much but being forced under the tower isnt good for me. I pinged him twice and he flipped the bird on me. Junglers are so toxic. On a personal note. This is probably bias. My main got perma because of junglers. I might be very sarcastic and passive aggressive borderline belittling but ill never curse someone out in a game. Arguments with these tards get you ban. Every single ban was an argument with a jungler. I shit you not. I had to make this account. They make unreasonable demands. Do dumb shit, that force ur laner to lose lane, Etc etc.. i got myriads of example.

Most junglers don't gank a losing lane unless they absolutely have to, because it's much easier to snowball a winning lane than to salvage a losing one.

Also, when you start to lose your lane, the least productive thing you can do is flame your jungler or be passive-aggressive toward them. Starting an argument when you start to lose drastically reduces your chances of making a comeback; Riot themselves have confirmed this on many occasions. Focus on winning, not blaming your teammates.

EDIT: I'm sorry if that seems rude or condescending, but I think you need to see this from the jungler's perspective. Everyone else on your team can point fingers at you when things go south. You need to farm sometimes instead of ganking 24/7, just like everyone else. You are there to help your teammates do their jobs, not do it for them; but your teammates often won't see it that way.

Jungle is the hardest role and has the most impact in early and has Objectives control and .. gets flamed the most That's exactly why people like me dislike the role You don't know , but the rule " Better Jg wins " heavily applies , you jungler doesn't have to be bad for that to apply I had many games are jg where I did play good and ganked a lot and stuff but we still lost the match because the enemy jungler was better than me , and it was enough reason , tho I didn't play bad

If jungle is hardest is matter of opinion but hate for jungle stem from binary perception that jungle win or lose game, your teammates expect help every time problem on lane araise and oponents hate you coz you have too much agency also riot balance decisions making junglers trash or opressive doesent helping.

I usually Hate when People pick LeeSin Nidalee Khazix early game junglers , yet you see them most of the time power farming for no freaking reason, those type of junglers are the ones worth flaming tbh , I don't flame at all but ye , I despise them

i personally hate lee just for having him in almost all games. Like i said jung is balanced so bad you have only 2 types of junglers opressive (better then assassins) or trash, there is no reason to play anything than oneshot burst also it seems that early game junglers dont fall off hard as they should later in game and later game junglers remains weak throu whole game no matter what.

Junglers tend to receive the most shit when a game is going poorly

Jungling is the job few appreciates but many flame on.

Because EVERY lane can blame them and people just accept it since it's not them. Jungler gets ganked constantly by lanes? Blame jungler for not ganking. Your lane is losing so bad you never have HP to get a proper gank? Junglers fault for not ganking. Push under enemy tower all day then die? Junglers fault for not ganking a wining lane.

Add to that if you're playing your lane poorly "enemy jg keeps ganking, nothing from ours" because enemy lane is positioning well and yours is positioning badly allowing for it. Junglers fault.

Also, for some reason laners are under the impression a JG can successfully gank into a winning opponent despite having no HP to help the jungler when junglers are designed to be weaker than laners.

I challenge any jungler to /fullmute their games and NOT have their win rate increase.

Hell I've had a lane thank me twice for ganks early game, then blame me late game for not even going to their lane once...

Here's a harsh truth, junglers do better when they ignore allied requests. I even watched some challenger JG streams and a few have said their largest path to improvement was learning to ignore laners trying to tell them what to do.

It's easier for people to blame others than themselves is what it boils down to. JG is the only one in range for most to blame.

I only like playing ivern jg cause I find jg clearing to be tedious, boring, and whatever. I just hate the task of jg clearing so ivern is great for me. If it wasn't for jg clearing then jg might have been my favorite role but I just hate the mind numbing task so much.

Well, jungle became hardcore early because Riot tried to nerf early jg ganks... And things got out of hand.

On the other hand if you perform exceptionally well as the jungler, you get the most honors. People know a good jungler when they play with one. That said, everyone still blames the jungler. Even if your jungle gets invaded by their laners, it's your fault for being behind.

Repeated Jungle xp nerfs. I mained jg season 6 and most of the way through season 7 b/c it was a fun role where if you farmed up and ganked well you could be equal lvl or higher than laners if you got fed, but it has been nerfed into the trash to the point that in the average game you're gonna be 2-3 levels than the solo laners even farming optimally.

Also getting 3 losing lanes, or even 2 losing lanes and one that wins (unless they hard stomp) just feels the absolute worst. Its just much harder to impact the game like you used to.

I can play an ok JG game for my rank and I do enjoy it. My biggest issue with it is my rank.

I feel like the people I end up playing with dont know how to maximize my contribution to them, and because of my low rank I tend to not have good jungle players whom I can watch and learn off of.

I know I'm not the best. I'm low silver for a reason after all. But I also feel like if people knew how to play better I could learn off of them.

I didn't hate jungler until I saw that you guys non stop crying on the Boards.

But to play, the role I hate to play the most has to be toplane.

Colte1 votes

My grandma told me to stay out of the woods!

It's the only role i don't play because the champions i use are extremely squishy or weak early game or vulnerable to counter jungling.

BigFBear1 votes

Because if you are a Toplane otp it's not the end of the world if you get autofilled in another lane because it's the same concept. But jungling is a complete different role, a complete different game and when you never play it before you have 0 clue and you only can lose if you try it first time on your main Elo. Actually it's pretty obvious.

Beside that jungle is as popular as top and ADC. The most unpopular role is Support.
