Season 6 Placements and Preseason games

hello my IGN is tplegs0708,

if anyone has the answer or can shed some light on the situation that'd be awesome. So under Summoner Profile > Leagues it clearly states

"Games played during the preseason will be factored into your 2016 seeding"

Now i know unfortunately when they do the "reset" its a what-they-call "soft" reset etc or so it did in the past, however i was wondering if im curently Silver 2 respectively, if i were to make it into the Gold tier during the preseason does that mean i will have a higher percent of being place high silver or maybe low gold upon placements IF i were to hypothetically win all my placements?

If i play 750 games over the preseason and STILL remain Silver 2 respectively, does that mean i will have an incredibly higher chance of being plaed in mid silver when seeding games are done?

If i were to end preseason how i am today and work on my other account still in the lvl 20's what impact does that have upon next years placement game finishes?

Also if any Riot member decides to view and post i have a bonus question for them...

Howcome it IS a soft reset? Why not TRULY set everyone back to placements/ B5 and then watch who climbs? is there too great of a risk that one player might get luckier and play with a challenger player and get boosted? The source of my question comes from my win percentage. I have a win percentage of just over 52%. Some of my higher elo'd friends are just barely scraping by with over 46% win ratio. It may bot seem like a lot but over the course of a few hundred games it adds up to be a few extra wins during the season which may push into a series or win it. For me it averages out to be 6 extra wins per hundred and a total of 21 extra wins a season for me..

My challenge is this: im almost SURE that there are a few diamond players that if they got placed into b5 would struggle to make it to diamond by end of the year.. for example there are some LCS pro's who's main accounts ARE NOT even MASTER/CHALLENGER. Im not finding fault with their rank as they'd clearly wipe the floor with me BUT it just goes to prove a point it matters who u pair with, and i think SOME would struggle with the "ELO HELL" the afks the run down the middle trolls etc
