Why is your favorite champion your favorite champion?

Really interesting to hear why people started playing/maining/loving individual champs, I have a couple that I'll share.

Twitch When I first saw this little bastard I just knew that he had to be the one. All of the other characters when I started playing had seemed rather bland while I was searching through the list of champions, but when I hovered over Twitch I knew that he had to be the one. I loved learning how to play him and sneaking in an out of the fight, popping out in the most unexpected of locations. back when you could sneak right by people I loved juking people who ganked bot and high-tailing it on outta there, I would also run right through the teamfight and pop up right behind the enemy ADC with the trademark "IT'S MEEEEEEE HAHAHAHA"

Anivia My baby bird, my best and second most favorite champ. I started to play Anivia because I've enjoyed the lore behind her character and how it comes to fruition in-game. The egg passive and all of the ice magic that she uses really makes me feel like a badass ice birb controlling the winds of the Freljord.

What stories do you guys have about the first time experiencing your favorite champ?

Orianna is such a fun little bitch

Enemies think you're gonna retreat but then you send the ball in to 100-0 them.

I love her concept and abilities.

Zed

He actually felt like an assassin so he looked cool and he was fun while being challenging.

KogMaw I just like his personality, spamming his reindeer song with a Lulu doing her famous laugh and just being a couple kids bot lane. I am a sucker for an underdog story, too. The 0/12 Kog skullsmashed by Lucian/Blitz comes back with the quadra kill

Who is Taliyah3/25/2017, 2:28:51 PM2 votes

Taliyah is the epitome of fun. Having only a .4 and .45 ap ratio on her spells, but a good base damage, it shows really fast that she doesn't necessarily has to be built full ap. Taliyah can be built in many ways and still be strong and fun. She is super cute and I really love her voice lines, the laugh and the dance. Taliyah's Weavers wall is super strong, it can easily win a lost game by placing it right. Being a former support main, I have always liked to help out my team and snowball as good as possible. Taliyah's ability to roam is perfectly for my playstyle. Snowballing is one of Taliyah's key strenghts.

I must admit, I haven't read her entire lore yet, as I'm a bit lazy in terms of reading, but I know the most important things and will definitely read her lore at some point.

AurelionSol I enjoy the fact that while my laning phase may not be the best, but if ignored team fight phase, I will tear through your entire team if you don't stop my boops

Ahri So, I am a writer, long before league, I also enjoy Japanese and Korean mythology, about 3-4 years back I started a book where one of the main 'characters' was a Kitsune, (from Japanese Mythology) And while I was researching them I came across Ahri, (Ahri is a Kumiho btw from Korean Mythology) And I'm like (this is some cool art of a Kumiho) And turns out she is a character in this game called "league of legends" So I played I bought Ahri Ahri charmed me I main Ahri <3

Talon Blades + Parkour haha I feel he's one of the most awesome characters in the game since he pretty much doesn't use any magic or secret techniques or so, he's just athletic and strong, capable of taking out foes quickly by using his wits and flanking around the battle rather than blowing them up with magic. I feel his character and new kit in that sense are well worked out ^^

Veigar When I started League, my friend who was teaching me the game played Veigar. His ability to infinitely scale & giant AoE stun appealed to me. I also really liked Veigar's design & voice. I had picked up Veigar for myself & fell in love with him over a few games. Just bursting people & listening to Veigar's high pitched voice relaxed me. I decided to not just main him, but one trick him. I wanted to climb to the top with Veigar by my side.

Here I am, over a year later, at Plat 3, still one tricking Veigar.

Teemo When I started playing, I played with a buddy who only did 3v3. In the 3v3 map Teemos shrooms get to be everywhere because the map is so small. So it was really fun to watch people die randomly walking around map stepping in the shrooms I left everywhere. I stopped playing 3v3 and moved to regular map and I still love Teemo. I like the poison idea about him and blinding a carry champ and deleting them because they can't hit is super troll.

Illaoi I love the feeling that you are always a threat. If they engage on you, it doesn't matter if you are behind, if they misplay it, they will die a tentacley death.

Plus she is a disgusting lane bully against most melee champs.

Tristana Too many different reasons I don't want to explain, ranging from her skins to her gameplay. She's just awesome!
