Would making Bloodthirster more of a defensive item be a good idea?

Would it be a good idea if Bloodthirster's ad was lowered but it's shield strength increased? Obviously the ad lost would have to be added to another item. Would making Bloodthrister more of a defensive item be a good idea?

You don't think adcs would buy it for the bigger shield?

and people arent gonna want more shields there is a big stink about locket as it is and its a "shield/tank meta"

in all honesty i think riot kinda needs to really throttle any changes between now n the new rune system launch that system is gonna really jack with balance issues. they already have a rune that turns a lifesteal passive when you get 100% hp you gain a shield for extra hp or something stupid like that

No. While Bloodthirster has it's own unique niche in it's shield and high life steal, ADCs should not be getting loads of defense.

If anything, I'd actually nerf the shield and increase it's AD to emphasize the ADC's supposed squishiness.

ADCs are supposed to have squishiness and weakness to burst as a drawback. They have more than enough tools to counterplay/counterbuild that, and they don't need more.

Wouldn't it be better if bloodthirsters niche was more defined as an adc's defensive item? I remember a while ago, players were debating whether or not blood thirster was a defensive item because in the shop, if you enable to item description, the game calls it a defensive item. When I saw this debate, I think that the reason why it's abiguous is because it's niche isn't defined enough since it's an item that gives a lot of ad and a shield and lots of lifesteal.

They should make it a shield. And evertime you get hit it makes a shield of blood around that also acts like thornmail.

Call it.
