Can anyone be diamond?

Does everyone have the ability to play at the diamond or challenger division level? Being a musician, piano mostly, I've meet people who just don't have the muscular dexterity to play at a professional level. Is this the same with League? With enough practice and game knowledge can someone really climb from bronze 5 to diamond 1? What is the biggest obstacle most people face when trying to get better? Tips? Advice? Comments?

I'm no pro, but I don't think so. I think a lot of it comes down to whether or not they blame others or criticize themselves.

Pretty much this and the occasional compliment makes your carry carry harder with a little morale.

Idk i thiink i can move my finger just as fast as faker, if not faster.

In all seriousness, yes but it takes a lot of work and you have to focus on IMPROVING rather than climbing.

In almost 2 seasons now i have gone from bronze 5 to hopefully plat by the end of this season. Im pretty slow at climbing, ive seen people go from bronze to diamond in a season, but that doesnt mean you cant do it.

Id say it really comes down to game knowledge and muscle memory. Reflexes and such. Im doubt anyone can just pick up the game and hit diamond. It would take practice and professional league players dedicate even more time to the game. Im no pro but its like any sport or competitive hobby. You need tons of practice to be amazing.

Im Gold 2 and I was in a private match with a bunch of diamond kids and they aint shit tbh. I wrecked a Diamond 3 Kayle mid as Talon. Diamond players are pretty equal to gold/plat players in terms of lane mechanics. Diamond players aren't better players they are just better at solo que.

You do realize they probably don't try in a custom game. Plus mechanics aren't all what makes a diamond player diamond they have superior map awareness/decision making which can make or break a game. If you think mechanics make up skill than you have a rude awakening.

No they were trying, they were playing their mains. They even had a Riven go 7-0 straight up smashed her silver lane opponent.

im diamond. and you do know, just because we are high elo does not make us immune to doing not so well time to time.

and just because they were playing there mains does not mean shit, I play darius a TON and don't try to hard in normals as whats the point. me vs gold and lower kinda boring if I try.

There's people who have played 395 days of LoL (9480 hours) and are still Silver III (proof at http://wasted-on-lol.com/)

If you are really that bad, then no you can't make it far in ranked. That's the beauty of Ranked games

I was Bronze 5 season 3 and im reached Diamond 3 today. i think diamond is possible for everybody (i have seen shit in diamond 5 you dont believe me.) but getting challenger you need full knowledge of the game and you have to be mechanically high skilled.

A good tip is concentrating on a champ you can play on 2 positions like Yasuo in my case who also can hard carry at a certain skill level. also have safe picks for the lanes you dont main

I was Bronze IV in Season 3 and now Plat II 63 LP, pretty sure I can get Diamond before the season ends.

Getting Diamond V is not SUPER hard if you really commit on improving but the difference between Diamond V and CHallenger is like the difference between Bronze and Diamond V....to get to be in the top 200 of the server you need very deep game and champion knowledge aswell as high skills and few people have both of that.
