Question on the Adaptive CDR Rune

One of the new Runes converts excess CDR into AD/AP which adapts to whichever you build more of, correct?

If this is the case, what if I'm playing Galio, for example and have an excess of CDR with no AD or AP built?

Would it default to AD or would it change to AP due to him scaling primarily with AP?

Thanks in advance.

They said that in the announcement, I think.

For Adaptive effects, the first stat listed is the one it defaults to.

Anything labeled as Adaptive adapts to your champion and in-game item build. If a Rune offers Adaptive Attack Damage or Ability Power, it will grant you one or the other based on whichever of Attack Damage or Ability Power you have more of within your items (defaulting to the stat listed first).
