Do you prefer Early game champions (lane bullies), mid-game, or late game champions/hyper-carries?

One thing I like to do is analyze things in League while playing or looking at certain champion pages to see how champions work. The thing I like to analyze the most is how a champion powerspikes (is at their strongest roughly) during certain parts of the game and I am curious to know which kind of champion powerspiking is your favorite (early, mid, or late) and why?

I prefer late game champions (such as Nasus Nasus, Camille Camille, or Vayne Vayne) because I like to think of it as an investment that pays back over the course of the game and having better contributions as the game passes on rather than fall off. I tend not to do as well in the early game generally especially against aggressive laners or junglers and prefer scaling over the course of the game with both kit and items and I tend to perform better in the late game (imo) than early because I tend to like making more impacts on teamfights than small skirmishes and laning and I do adapt over the course of the game.

Early game for me.

Having the raw power to bully scaling champions into irrelevancy even through the mid-game (where they should start to scale) I feel has more bearing over the outcome of the game. You get ahead much earlier, you can throw your lead into other lanes to force them behind, if you do that on bot lane you can force a 3-4 man fight around dragon, you win that and claim dragon your whole team is even further ahead.

When played well it's 10-2, two turrets up with plating, a dragon up and the enemy team tilted beyond recovery.

Although I love all types of champs, I usually go for late game champs. Nothing is more satisfying than obliterating the enemy lane bully for the win after he harassed you for 20 minutes

No one knows how to play this game, including how to close a match.

That's been my experience anyway.

So I prefer late game champions. Because it provides a sense of security to me knowing that the longer a game goes, my chance of winning hardly ever diminishes as long as I play a scaling champion.

Why pick when there are rito favorites that can do two or even all three of those things?

I prefer playing whatever will give me the most success given the game I am in. But, sadly, Riot has steered the game far away from this actually mattering. Who cares what you like if a Aatrox, Irelia, Akali, or Sett, amongst many others, is matched up against you?

Katarina is my favorite champion and I'd say she's best mid to late as long as there isn't a buttload of CC to cuck her. I like all types though.
