Mid typically has mages and assassins, with some exceptions.

Top lane has a lot of fighters, but many champions have success there.

Jungle has tanks, bruisers, assassins, and even a mage or two.

But are there any tactics outside of adc+support that are acceptable? Something that you wouldn't get reported for (yes, people still apparently do this)? Something that's just as viable in normals or even solo queue in lower elos that aren't professional level?

I'm just curious, looking to try something new.

Any duo with strong synergy. Thresh and Blitzcrank comes to mind.

Other than that, lane swap is a thing.

Well this isn't a very fair statement,as supports aren't just "support",otherwise I could say only mid laners go to mid lane,only junglers go to jungle,etc.

you have utility focused supports,damage focused supports and tanks,admittedly now it's mostly janna & tanks but you can still pick velkoz and avoid a report,but well even adc's have some variety,utility based on like ashe,damage focused like jinx or kog,poke focused like ezreal/varus,mobility focused like kalista and even twitch who is semi-assassin(admittedly they don't vary from each other like mid laners do,but supports do that,and it's not fair just labeling them "support").

well everything is reportable,you can pick the most meta picks and still get reported,but well,not picking adc will drag attention to you,especially if you fail(it doesn't matter if it's viable,riot just encourages people not to adapt,and as consequence people have a tendency to report anything different)

Well,you could try something like annie+brand,or leona+jarvan(both of these are good against immobile adc...and ashe is rather popular right now),you can also do something like ap kennen bot,or maybe azir(not too sure about this one),but well if the elo is low enough,I guess you can just throw anything and see if it works for you,I'm just not sure if people know how to punish stupid things in those elos.

theres a bot kil lane also ive seen things like & Annie bot wich works if they totaly rape the adc how ever if the adc and your bot lane go equal there might be a problem later in game cause your team is missing an adc wich has some sort of sustain dmg and is able to take out tanky targets wich ap champs really dont do that much damage to

in response to this make sure you have a tank mid/top and play Twitch in the jungle get a item 3718 first asap than i found it most usefull depending on what my enemys are/build to get either item 3153 or item 3072 next

ofcoursee you could stil go for a tanky jg and see if theres something like an adc you could play top Jayce seems like someone that can get the job done

im pretty sure that the propper response to people picking a pick like annie/brand bot is just dont fight them and play save and just cs cause they will most likely be missing the adc /sustain dmg later in game
