Tri-laning in League

I was wondering how viable tri laning would be in League of Legends. Its a popular strategy used in dota, mostly used by competitive teams or higher tier players since it makes it so only very safe or strong laners have the possibility of even surviving the lane. What made me think it might be viable would be to put morde, zilean and +1 more all bot. Morde's w passive would make the xp split evenly to the two supports while he got full xp in addition to gaining the xp bonus from zilean's passive. The two supports would then be getting 8% more than the enenmy support and carry while morde would also out level the opponent. I geuss the question becomes, is this better than having a jungler? I am not certain but I think you would get more xp but less gold than having a jungler. In terms of securing objectives, the +1 could just take smite just to have it and you could even do the gromp/ krug for a even bigger xp lead.

There is no point for this. Either you lose a jungler so if any lane loses, well no ganks unless for the occasional roam from mid. No solo lanes, weak late games, say bye to your tower. The only reason is there is dou bot is because ADC need sup, to sup make it a constant threat from that lane but no other, sure you get exp but your losing ALL OF THE FARM from either mid, top, or jungle

The key to a successful team comp is splitting up resources in an effective manner. The current 1-1-2 with a jungler setup is the most effective at this time.

Now, a three man lane is not as efficient, but certain things can still make it worth while. Take a look at the suggestions by Syndrarella, each of those has something that can assist in denying gold and experience to the enemy laner, either by punishing an opponent incredibly hard for a single mistake or taking full control of a lane and giving the enemy no room to work with.

You're not getting gold and experience on your side in an efficient manner, so your goal should be to make sure the enemy laner is even more behind. Keep in mind the meta is built around consistency, so most non-meta setups have a far higher risk/reward setup. When it works it really works, but when it doesn't it REALLY doesn't.

tri lane would have 3 people with less Level due to split, and 3 people with less gold

you would also be abandoning 1 lane or the jungle, giving either free farming and towers to the enemy or double the farm to the enemy jungler and double jungle buff to the enemy team.

it makes no sense, its just better to have a jungler that periodically ganks the duo lane (and the rest)

There are lotta things that works in Dota don't work in League and trilane is 1 of them. Among that, single roam or duo roamers also won't work. Double mid could work in League.
