Mid next week is looking likely.

As with any patch though release date won't be certain until we've finished our final bug pass and other checks.

They don't always do it successfully, though. The date they plan is Wednesday but it's not at all rare that the patch goes out on Thursday because something cropped up, and it was less than a year ago that they had a patch on a Friday.

The internal date planned will be Wednesday but they can't say that for sure because it only ends up being on Wednesday like 60% of the time.

I did say Wednesday or Thursday. I'm aware of numerous Thursday patches, I still consider those on-time. Basically, they almost always pull through and I'm saying they'll pull through this time like almost every other...

How is it petty exactly? You rven just admitted that they have plenty of patches later than usual. Even though you consider that on time, Riot does not.

Recent example would be Kindred's release. That had to be delayed for like, a whole patch IIRC.

Kindred was delayed, the patch wasn't. The petty part was a joke, but nobody detected that. Thursday is still more or less the mid of a week so it doesn't necessarily mean delayed if it's not on a Wednesday.

Well yeah, I even said it was just Kindred. The point though was they aren't afraid to delay things if they believe it isn't ready yet. Who says they wouldn't delay a patch if need be?

Also, I don't think anyone caught onto your joke because it wasn't obvious / funny? Not meant to offend, I sincerely didn't realize it was a joke.

Because if they ever promise something and don't deliver 100% the pitchforks and torches get brought out. I'd prefer an honest answer like that over "We'll definitely have it ready on this date and this time" because to me that's making promises you might not be able to keep.

Kindred's patch wasn't delayed. Kindred themselves were delayed by a patch due to a bug. The patch was still on-time though.

If it's later than Thursday, May 5th then Riot purposefully delayed the patch to troll me.
