You are not.
That's the point.
As ADC you require your team to initiate, protect you and tank for you. If they don't, you are done. Of you try to be the solocarry-playmaker-herooftheday, the enemy frontline will just say thanks for the free gold, unless their team is amazingly behind. Its as simple as that.
And if you think Tankgar is annoying, wait until you see a competent Maokai, Nasus or Tankarina.
Chimp Joker1 votesYou are 100% correct about everything. I can't be upset as an adc when an assasin can just close the gap towards me and just 100-0 me in a flash. That part I can deal with. However, when I see something off meta as much as tankgar just soaking up so much of my damage and stunning me and ultimately me so much, I will be frustrated beyond belief. I'd much rather deal with Maokai than veigar. Nasus....nah he's still scary af late game.

No flash no life3 votesI'd replace that frozen gaunlet with frozen heart, sorcerer boot with ionian, and maybe spirit visage instead of warmog just for the mr stat. That's assuming veigar's opponent doesn't stack mr though, and if that's the case I'd replace rabadon with void.

EstebanElGuapo2 votesI think you can put him into an intentional 0 dps role as a half tank with full cdr, in other words a support, and then just use him as a stun bot, zoning tool. I tried it 2 games. got 40 or so stuns in one of them. if you count corpse stuns i think you can add a handful more to that number. Kind of fun way to do it that don't rely on dmg.

EstebanElGuapo1 votesMildly Off topic (not tank veig, but is a mage tank) but watched a youtube main tank karthus, only non tank item that had any ap was seraph's embrace. murdered everyone got 20 kills and always most dmg on any team. Think watched 2 of his games because its surprising how effective something like that can be. Obviously the ult suffers :)
