Underrated champions in URF.

Surge06··3 votes·765 views

The general consensus of URF is that it's one of the most fun modes in League of Legends, at least until we run into the same champions over and over again.

There seems to be champions that are either picked or banned during URF, Namely: Ekko Shaco Evelynn Ezreal Fizz Zed Blitzcrank Alistar Maokai Sona Nidalee. These champions tend to either be picked or perma-banned, which can make the game mode feel tedious. The rest just fly under the radar, but they can all be incredibly broken which comes as a surprise to a lot of people. What I want to know from you guys are some champions that you've played or seen, that had very few appearances in URF but still destroyed everyone else.

For me it would be Kindred. Their basic abilities each have a 3 second cooldown, which translates to infinite kiting and a perma-slow. The only champions that stood any chance against me were super high damage, hard cc, and non-skillshot based champions who tended to be banned in most cases. The problem is that Kindred is already a strong champion outside of URF, so their strengths are maximised here.

What champs have you seen in URF that dominate, despite low playrates either in or outside of URF?

I played against an URF Karthus yesterday.

Why did they nerf the MR items for ADC's? Why?

Heimer is so fun, I baited an enemy towards a pink ward about 50 units away from a bush, and my turrets and ult rockets absolutely slaughtered them.

Nami is great too.

Full magic pen DrMundo . Cleavers have ~1 second cooldown, meaning if you land one, you land them all. And it does %HP damage, so magic pen builds are nuts for URF.

My go-to pick if it's first win of the day time is Lulu . Infinite E-minion-Q-champ combos give her crazy early lane control and instant point-and-click cc on W shuts down most of the hyper-mobile urf staples. Combine that with being able to keep your team's hyper-carries alive, and you've got a lot of wins coming.

Two that I've had fun on in the past that I haven't seen mentioned surprised me when I first tried them.

Rumble

You can have all his abilities (not ult obviously) up constantly. The change to ammo for his harpoons (E) means you can fire them constantly. Flamer is on constantly and a shield with movespeed? Perfect.

Singed

Constant Poison Trail (Q), almost able to flip constantly with a slow that is about the same. The best part? His ult is 25 seconds in duration with a 20 second cooldown so when you hit level 6 it's even better.

SO. FUN. Rylais+BC is amazing. Shred their armour, slow them, flip them, bait them. Even Zed and Ez can't catch you.

Only thing weaker is Fiddlesticks bro, I've played a lot of stuff on URF and he has nowhere near the damage to compare with most other people who are getting triple or quadruple their output. Worst part is for anything you split push most people'll clear it in ten seconds or less.
