As A Jayce Main, Can A Rioter Explain This To Me?

Why is it that I, A lane bully top laner, that is also a Marksman, get less Armor and less AD than the adcs? Now that my lethality runes are gone, I am forced to play with this AD jayce that does terrible damage mid/late game compared to lethal runes jayce. And that 10+ bonus ad on my abilities wont recover the damage I lose.

Im just wondering why all the Marksman but Jayce gets great starting AD and Armor. Jayce literally has the worst attack speed out of all the marksman, so I dont get why he doesnt get special treatment.

Likely because his hammer form grants him bonus resistances. The new masteries will also grant you lethality, and you will naturally have to build it as an item rather than start with it as a free stat.

If this is a genuine problem he will surely recieve buffs. If he is being balanced, however...

Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.

There's a lot of damage available from the runes although it might not work out the way you prefer. Like you won't straight up get a bunch of lethality for your shock blast, but your all-in might actually be stronger (scary tbh)
