Just a question about LP splash

So lets say you are at 99 LP for top lane, and you get your secondary role or so. You win the game, and you gain 3LP for top lane. Do you go into your promo games for top lane, or do you have to win another game? I only heard from some people that its been changed so that you do go straight to promos, but not 100% sure.

If you don't, then its almost as lame as getting 99LP, although I kind of understand the standpoint riot was going with it. [sg-zephyr]
