it's good to ward the river or tri bush yes, but be careful that if you leave your adc you might be putting them in a vulnerable spot

it's ok sometimes to just let them farm and not really fight the opponent, but make sure you are close to them so that you represent the threat of your abilities

edit: I realize now that my wording is kind of poor. but I'm not trying to say "omg why do people suck" I honestly accept that sometimes my support is not a sup main, and I'm ok with this, I play around it. I'm just trying to point out two things that I can't really play around, because I'm interested in having small parts of the game that I can improve upon being visible, and expect other people to like the same thing. and these two things are something I see a lot, are things that sometimes get me dead. more often do I make a mistake that gets me dead, like sometimes when I'm farming I forget to note that my allied minions die and leave me vulnerable and fail to adjust for this. I also haven't figured out how to handle a wave that's pushing towards me, like some times I just last hit and my opponent just last hits and the wave pushes slowly, but sometimes the wave hard pushes and all of a sudden there are 10 enemy creeps and 3 allie creeps and the adc starts auto'ing me and if I fight back the minion wave kills me, and I don't notice the difference between these two wave changes, at first they look the same as far as I know to see.

ADC main detected. It should read like this "It's good your support is warding river. Play safer and back up while the support is doing their job."

my name is "jinxie pooksie" there is no lie xD I straight up confess I'm an adc main

No I meant towards the "play safer while the support is doing their job". When I go to ward a bush, and tweedle dumb tries to 1v2 and dies, that blame is solely on tweedle dumb.

nonono, I don't say "oh look leo left let me fight the opponent" what happens is, I see my leona next to me and move towards a creep slightly to last hit, and at the same time my leona suddenly decides to bee line up the river to ward. and I immediately turn around and start moving away from the enemy, as I'm suddenly vulnerable in a way I wasn't anticipating, but lo and behold blitz activates his move speed buff dashes towards me and goes to hook me. where if leona had stayed next to me, if he dashed like that I'd move towards her and she'd move towards me and blitz would say rip don't want to grab leo then she and jinx will focus my adc and I have half my burst used up and can't do much. but because leo decided to arbitrarily leave me, I no longer have that zone of safety that allows me to be where I am.

I hate when I have to babysit the adc. Mid and jungle could use assistance as well. Top's on their own.

you don't have to babysit the adc, actually when someone is a sup main they often look for roam plays. but if the adc is in lane and both their enemies are in lane, you should be also in lane. if the adc is recalling, that's a good time to make a roam play, and if one of them recals unless the other is hiding under tower that's a great time to go agressive, if the one remaining is hiding under tower a roam play is good.

it's not about babysitting the adc, it's about understanding the kill threats of certain scenarios.

me too :)

but, it's a mistake I have made a lot in the past, and learned from. as sup, if I want to ward a bush, I got to ping before I leave, and watch where my adc is going in case I have to double back because they didn't understand my ping.

I guess, it's the same principal about team fights. you want to focus the same person down, and you want to be close enough to engage on someone who dives, but if you spread out or split up you leave someone vulnerable. when the adc and support are close together, there is a lot of power represented, but when they split apart then they are both in a weak space. usually I react fast enough or I'm in a safe enough zone, but sometimes, I use the strength of my sup's position to be somewhere that otherwise would be dangerous, and if the sup at that moment decides to move away from me, all of a sudden I'm not safe any more in a way that I can't control.
