if you want more support mains, to make dynamic queue healthier

then don't harass your support, instead make sure they know you appreciate them.

when your support tries to make a play, help them out.

and if your support doesn't seem to be up to par? simply. say. nothing. they're probably filling. let it be, and focus on what you can do to impact the game.

How to be a main Support:

  1. You are dubbed the ward bitch of the team and everything is your fault. Or the junglers fault whichever the ADC is hating on.
  2. Even with Targon's Brace stealing CS is stealing CS, even if it gives the ADC some health and the gold as well.
  3. You can do everything in your power to rescue your ADC but the idiot will just run back with 200 health wanting to 1v2.
  4. You can do everything in your power to set up the perfect stun and hard CC team kill. Don't expect anyone to follow up on this.

(This is obviously satire)

If anyone want more support mains, make dynamicQ be able to Q for 1 role.

We all know the horrors when there are 2+ support mains on one team, most of them knowing how to play only support.

As a permanent sup/mid or sup/top queue-r, I cri whenever I actually get mid or top somehow. Top is not so bad but mid is always a gamble. http://i.imgur.com/SM2Aslu.png[/img]

im doing the same but for me top is a gamble, i usually win 1v1, but the lane is decided by the jungler so it wont matter (rip green wards)

No offense but that would probably have the opposite effect...

That could be said about most positions really, but support does get a lot of flack. Had a game where my Draven got caught out by mid and bot lane. I managed to get there in time as Lulu to drop all abilities and summoner spells. He got a triple and survived with 100 health. "Good job Draven," was the first remark from our top laner. No, more like fricken lucky that I got in range to flash ult him and keep him alive while using whatever ability came off cool down first. He was dead without me. Luckily he knew it and thanked me, but most of the time that doesn't happen.

Literally, if anyone does anything to help, even if it's just running towards the enemy so they back off, consider thanking them. Most of the time the games where my team is raging at each other is a loss. When we are polite we might still lose but we aren't screaming at each other about it.

I agree, in one of my last games just now minion block almost killed my ADC with turret fire, but I shielded them and they lived just barely. They said "gj sup," and honestly, that made me feel good. We were winning pretty hard, and that little positive reinforcement made me want to support them even harder.

https://youtu.be/wrK6nnzbY3w Thanking the support does happen.

I do some great stuff as support, and one of my most favorite moments recently was supporting an early dragon kill. I made a thread about this one, but here is the video again. I felt like I could have gotten a good job on that dragon support. I dont need a pat on the back for doing something right but, that dragon take down shared tanking/shielding was legitimately a good play on my part I thought.

It's not that, mostly people don't like that role, I play this game since preseason 2, and then it was the same thing, nobody wanted to support except supp mains, it's a boring role to most people, me included, back then if you were last pick it was 99% guaranteed you will be support because nobody wanted that.

Riot: if you want more support mains, to make dynamic queue healthier Riot: Then don't talk about SoloQ Riot: Then talk about some mage update Riot: Just to change few mages into support Riot: And done, you have just increased support pool by few champions who should never be support Riot: that will lure some derps to support role giving us a breather while we'll try to add 150 AD item for our ADCs in season 7

Why do you think they have moved old mids into support role.

I hate it when I queue up for support and get my secondary role, especially since I am only a half decent Morgana (hence Bronze 2)

If my ADC or full team trashes me I have learned to just shake it off and mute the toxicity. I know how well I can play and that maybe the game isn't mine. Sure I take what that have to say into consideration, but if it is just "GG Morgana sucks cant land a Q" I will mute lol

The only reason I don't like to play support as much as other roles is that you HAVE to rely on another person to do well (at least in the laning phase). It doesn't matter how good I am at setting up plays if my ADC is just busy missing CS and it doesn't matter how good I am at keeping my ADC alive if he keeps insisting on diving 1v2 under the enemy tower while I'm warding. Support is very enjoyable if you get a good ADC, but sadly those seem to be few and far between. D:

I have a friend you mains Sona as a support. If we get paired with random ADC in dynamic normal draft we tell them flat out:

"Listen if you fail to get the kill she WILL make sure they die."

Sona item 3100 item 3285 item 3135 item 3041 item 3092 item 3089

Little while into the game Lucian was chasing and she comes out of fucking nowhere and deleted Lucian in two shots. He apologized for mocking her.

I love to play support, but even I get tired of doing it every single time. I put in for support rather than fill in ranked because I'd rather do the role I'm stronger with, but damn... that means I get support at least 95% of the time and I feel like I don't even have the option to develop my skills with my favorite champions beyond those in my usual support rotation. It's getting old and I wish other players would grow up, stop acting like they're too good to play support, and at least fill sometimes.

I think this will eventually make the current pro meta unviable at low levels. Pro teams will still have support, of course. But in the real world fewer players who don't mind support will put in for it as their second choice when they get tired of support every single time, and fill already isn't an option for most low level players (as in 95% of them? 99%? it sure seems that way) since that means they MIGHT (as in, definitely) have to do the one thing they will not ever do - play support. And there'll be no more supports and it will take hours to find a match and when you do it'll be one of those Luxes or Brand's who doesn't even build a sightstone. Otherwise there'll just be bot duos where there's no definite support role like in bot games.

Adcs really have no clue what they put supports through. Like, they really don't.

If they want more support players, they can make it feel good to be a support player. By design, Riot has made support a very team reliant role. Even if the support player is doing well, he has the hardest time carrying his team if they're playing bad. It gets even worse if you're behind as a support.

You know, I don't think I've seen someone harass a support since about 2 years ago :/

Consider me lucky :P

My ADC was near death and trying to recall, and me and him are fleeing a horde of enemies coming at us. As Zilean, I speed him up, throw bombs everywhere, and ult him. I land a stun on the 2 full HP tanks and ADC chasing us, and my ADC turns around and starts fighting, killing their ADC and causing me to die to everything, and then dying himself. I told him to run when I stun things and speed him up, because it cost me my life, and he told me that dying for him to make plays was what I was supposed to do. I very much considered reporting him for that, and it just goes to show that supports are nothing to ADCs but cannon fodder for their glorious power plays.

To some yes.

I remember playing a match a long time ago with a Lucian.

I kept pinging the river bush, they finally in all caps asked why I was pinggin it. In all caps I responded "WARD IT!"

They told me... and I honestly cant understand this total fucktards mentality on this (keep in mind were like 7 minutes into the game) he says "NO" follows up with "Thats your job to ward." I dont have a sight stone, and my free ward is on cooldown, this is before the ward reworks where the stealths kinda suck on duration now, but back then they lasted a while. I relay the fact that I dont have a sight stone and mine is on cooldown, and when they finally have one off cooldown they say "You want me to ward?" and they MIA ping with the question mark on the bush. I say "Yes, please" and they walk up to the bush, stop, and put the ward down in the middle of the lane................................. then they say "Warding is for supports."

I told them "fine, were blind in the river, I still need 100 gold for SS, I hope we get ganked and you die cause you ref" as Im typing that, an Atrox comes flying out of the bush, and he gets snared by the enemy bot lane and blown up.... He blamed me for that.

I simply said "Warding is everyones job." Then I told him Im going to mute his ass so he can take his toxic novel and tell it to someone who cares less than I do and maybe actually stfu, ward the bush, and focus on not being a piece of sht.

He put every ward in the middle of the lane, some under their turret. I hugged the turret when my wards were on cooldown, refused to buy a sight stone, and after he died 3 times from ganks he went AFK. Some people.

Support will ''Never'' be the wanted role because they don't have that flashy Kda that most of the people want 20-0-3(example) because getting kill his way cooler than assist for most of the people. I do enjoy play support but I prefer getting someone with who I can talk on skype over a random guy. This mostly the reason why the solo Q will fail anyway because no one will still take the support roles.

Rendarkan1 votes

I don't take the support role because I don't want to, but because I am a shitty support and secure that bitchass enemy ADC KS every time the ADC can't actually get them. Leona

Daaaaw, look at you trying to butter us up with your sweet nothings.

When will you learn real supports cannot be swayed so easily.
