Armor ridiculously falls off late game
It's because riot overnerfed tanks and then buffed assassins to deal with ADCs.
It's because of auto attacks, there's n o counter play, without reworking the auto attack function there will never be a way to deal with it
its not lethality. if you have like 200armor lethality can take 33 armor away from items and 7 from runes so u now got 160 armor which is like 10% more dmg. the problem is the champions

Sucks ass if you're playing a tank.
Doesn't do anything if you don't have a heal in your kit, relies on a support to have any use.

So while I wasn't invincible, I still was able to 1v5 engage and let my team clean up. My W shield took most of the on-hit magic damage they put out and I could afford to simply build Armor and HP from there. Fights were EASY. The point of defense isn't to become unstoppable, it's to survive longer, and I did long enough for my team to be able to be useful.

And you know for a fact that they would build that item regardless of you having a tank on your team or not because its good on literally every ad caster, even assassins that might have trouble stacking it have learned to love it.
Tbh Ninja Tabi is overtuned imo (weird that the strongest counter to assassins other than Stopwatch/Zhonya/GA is a pair of boots).
But yeah the rest of armor itemization is complete ass especially w/ BC existing (which is present basically every game where armor would otherwise be effective).
Yeah, zed can kill almost anything @minute 20 granted he is slighty ahead with 2 lethality items. Literally anything. No matter how armor you got.
You shouldn't build armor if you want to snowball, armor is only good if your team is good and you want to tank for them.

Here's a little lesson in math idiots lethality Is a unique passive. Which means you can only have one of each item and if we total all the lethaily in the game together we get 68 lethality congrats you just removed a randuins omen. It wasnt the fact that lethality Is op no it gets counted by armour hard. Dont think so? Play zed into a tank then talk also 68 lethality assuming that they build a serrated disk separately. Also if they were one shotting you when you had 400+ armour idk maby they had ARMOUR PEN like a last whisper or a LDR things to consider before you say stupid things. Also if you want to counter all that dank OP lethality. FROZEN HEART the item legit gives 100 armour for like 2700 gold. And duskblade costs 2900 gold btw so you should complete it before they get their uten.
Just sounds like you don't want to change your build to deal with the problem. Active defense is always going to be better than passive.
If Zed can't pop your eyes out with his Lethality combo, even as a decently armored tank with a good enough HP pool (200 armor and 2500 HP), something ain't right.
These are why your armor feels useless. I personally feel Cleaver no longer needs its armor shred passive. It's still a good item even without it and there is enough damage in the game that it can afford to lose it. Most of the champs that build it either have %max HP, free penetration, true damage, or damage scaling sustain anyway, so they don't need the shred. Nerfing penetration would a great start toward balancing the game.
I see two different issues here.
Lethality is really good right now because so many champs are building full offense, which makes lethality extremely potent.
Armor being bad is an issue with there being so many good lifesteal items that also raise damage. If one champ builds full damage + lifesteal and another champ builds full armor, the armor champ gets bodied because they can't outdamage the self healing.
Then youre doing something wrong. Stop trying to 1v5.
Especially since armor severely counters lethality.
Too much Physical damage, too much armor pen and too little armor and anti damage items.
im guessing they have near full builds to be killing you with lethality and that build thats 170 no assassins with lethality is oneshotting with that unless they are waaaaaaay ahead or you are walking right into teamfights without a care in the world.
