You're falling behind on your Rek'sai nerf quota for this season

Eh, quota changed. Malzahar now.

Ah, the poor girl. I can't stand playing her anymore, easily the most boring champion in the game.

I simply hope her incoming rework will push her towards what she was at relase: a damage threat, actively invading with her tremor sense, mauling people.

And not a walking ward flash knockup bot.

The balance team is like "Nerf? What's a rek'sai?" "I think he said nerf Maokai"

What is a "Rek'Sai?" Is it a plant? Or some kind of tool?

Supposedly there's a rework (ala Shyvana or Amumu) that's tweaking her to be more diver-y than AFK knock-up bot.

So I guess there's your big nerf?

I don't really care at all about Rek because Riot said something pretty meaningful for once:

Rek'sai is one of the only champions in this game who has an unreplaceable role in a well coordinated team. Her ability to indirectly see everything in a large radius turned out to be a way too dominant tool in the LCS and rather than try to gut that feature and turn her into a generic fighter, they decided it's for the best to let the vision stay but the strength go. There is no possible way you can balance Rek'sai for both ranked players and LCS players, she's just a way too coordinated character to have reasonable strength AND her vision radius.

Buff Rek'sai's strength -> LCS perma pick/ban Nerf Rek'sai's strength -> Unplayable outside of LCS

She's got a small scale rework incoming so they are just ignoring her now. She was supposed to be a part of the tank update, but they couldn't fit her in in time. I suspect in the next 2 weeks we'll be seeing her on the PBE, as we have Rammus this PBE cycle getting a "small" scale rework.

Who would have thought taking away 90% of the damage from a fighter would have resulted in this???

Basically everyone. Probably the worst handled newer champion. The modern version of Malzahar and Ryze.

RekSai tries to get under you with her tunnels you walk the other direction getting you into a safe distance from her. Oh wait she flashed W me guess I should have outplayed that like Lees kick

For people who know nothing about rework:

• Changing W to single target knock up
• Remake ultimate into an almost completely new ability
• "Current changes in testing don't change Prey Seeker (Burrowed Q) itself substantially but do offer a bit more combo with another part of her kit that makes it feel situationally quite a bit better." (Quote from Meddler)
• Add incentive to build bruiser instead of tank
• I'm assuming they're going to nerf/rework tremor sense as it's been the cause of lots of her problems

Most of this is rather old info from 3ish months ago, but it's all we have to go off of. Rek was never planned to be part of the tank update, her original rework was supposed to come out multiple patches ago, but kept being delayed due to not having artists to work on her. Now that it's after mid season, the artists are available and the rework should be coming out in a patch or 2.
