Can I ask why

Me and my friend were playing a ranked game at 2 am in the morning and in pregame lobby everybody was just chilling and typing to eachother nothing toxic or anything, our top laner locks in Teemo and I was a bit concerned but I just let it go but when in game, Teemo died and then blames our jungler (my duo) for the reason he loses lane. This sparks a argument between the two and then Teemo afk's under his tower for the next 10 minutes continues to type until and at this point we were losing the game because the Teemo had completely given up and we started to get a bit mad because it was a game we could have won, Our botlane also agreed and was trying to get teemo to rejoin, After multiple attempts of the Teemo just flat out telling us he's not afk and is running under his tower in a circle we both mute him, after the game our botlane, me and my duo report the teemo and leave, Early this morning my duo gets online and when he logs into his account he has been permanently banned for "Toxicity/Verbal abuse" When the only 2 things he said the entire game that could equal to verbal abuse was "fuck you" and "this game fucking sucks" he was talking about the match itself because the other games we had played were losses so we were a bit mad. I don't understand why he gets a punishment for being toxic but the person int feeding and afk'ing in ranked is let free?

this isnt supposed to be a sympathy post im posting it because the way riot handles banning and punishments is extremely dumb

Doubtful it was just one game. Also, he did sort of say "Fuck you" to Teemo there. Is that not toxic? What was in his report card? Without that, it's insanely hard to believe anything. It's a common tactic to come here... Lie ,say I didn't do anything. Then finally post the logs, and jeeeeeeeeeeesus, what a log screen shot you're treated. In all my time here, I've seen one semi legit 'Hrm, that was overboard punishment' post, but the dude had just got off of a 14 day ban, so Riot is twitchy there. I'm highly disinclined to believe anything but your friend is a toxic person as well thus deserving his punishment.
