Relic shield line needs some serious changes

With the new minion gold changes, it became a lot more punishing to miss cannon minions as a support. Getting cannons is fairly easy in lane, with interesting dynamics to secure/deny cannons. This isn't the case for ranged tanks (mostly Thresh, but very occasionally Bard or Rakan as well), who must take Ancient Coin instead. The problem becomes worse come mid game, where you must compete to secure cannons from both your ADC and midlaner, and sometimes even jungler with smite. Can we make it easier to proc relic shield?

Just few examples include things like executing it even at full health, executing it after autoattacking it twice in a row, or leaving marks on the minions after autoattacking it, and consuming the mark upon the minion death to proc the heal. To avoid abuse, the upgrade could only work upon hitting 500 gold, just like the Spellthief line.

I think if Riot were to implement such an effect it would have to apply to all minions which also includes Inhibitor minions. In their descriptions I have never seen any very specific effects. I do agree though that Relic shield should be buffed in some way to make it more compatible for ranged supports.

Hows this:

Nearbly allies will mark minions they auto attack. Marked minions can be executed if Relic sheild has charges.

This way it sets up teamwork. Ally marks minion, support executes minion.

That's why the passive was buffed to 4 gold per 10 sec cause outside of laning good luck getting procs also don't proc ranged C's while trying to do the quest
