Riot, you should be doing this instead of what you are currently doing. its a much better idea.

currently, you ( Riot ), are attempting to balance and re balance the game during your patches/updates, with all sorts of manner of things and idea, this is not terrible except in one glaring way.

The one major bad thing you are doing is what the player base currently uses, the champions. you are not doing it right when you are trying to balance and rebalance them. and afterwards because you continue to have to re balance them almost every patch you do, you end up ruining the aspect of the champion original purpose and gamplay style, making the player bases reason to play more and more unreasonable.

we all get WHY you are attempting to make these rebalances, and we do not fault you for your attempts, but in this situation, its just like Americas relationship with Cuba, the policy wasnt working as much as the dumbasses in congress hoped it would, and it needed to be changed in order to see if the relationship can still be fixed. thus why america is now lifting the embargo on cuba, the embargo wasnt working and it was never going to work, thus it needed to go away and a new strategy is needed.

And this is what , in a way, is going on with the way you are trying to FIX your champions per patch. its not working as you intended it too and has become a mess, so you need to change up what you are doing.

so here is the new fresh idea: No more nerfs, ever, only buffs.

yeah thats right, instead of nerfing, you never nerf ever again, you only buff, and buff and buff some more. eventually all your buffing will lead to champions that are equal in terms of ability power, even though all there abilities are still unique. this will also lead to faster gameplay, and MORE SKILLED PLAYER BASE.

after all, more skilled players means better overall gameplay. and more competitive fun.

the nerfing you are doing is not helping your cause for LoL to be considered the greatest played game ever made, since your nerfing is based on strong biases and misconceptions. this means everytime you do a nerf, you end up holding the entire thing back, the game, the players, the content, for no good sensible reasons, only for believed good intentions. and doing that just hurts everybody.

TL;DR, stop nerfing, only buff.

This idea is neither fresh nor good.

Unlikely. Buffs are no more accurate than nerfs. They will overshoot the target just as often. When they do, the only buff policy will mean that we have to buff everyone up to the level of the new best champion, rather than just nerfing that guy.

But what about AD champions?

Let's go a bit further. There's champions that have pretty powerful, if not broken abilities and ultimates (Poppy's ult comes to mind). So should that ult not be nerfed? You mean she should be buffed more?

what i mean is, if abilities are broken, as in not intended to be used in a certain way, yes fix that, but dont nerf her, and instead buff the others in correlation to her ( Poppy for example ) .

so who are Poppys best and worst against? fix her Ult if it really is broken, but dont nerf her, and instead buff the Champs that she absolutely dominates. this makes it more of a player skill game then a champ pick game.

God no, I don't want every champion having Poppy Ult levels of power in their kits, that would be freaking horrible.

I asked someone else this yesterday, but I feel it's very apt to use it again.

Are you trolling, high, or just plain dumb?

Let's take three champions as archetypes of their roles. There are more rolls than this, and it's quite a bit more complicated, but we're talking in a bubble because you're obviously incapable of leaving it.

Let's say: XinZhao beats Fizz Fizz beats Fiddlesticks Fiddlesticks beats XinZhao

In a world of "no more nerfs", if Fizz ends up just too strong, they'll buff champs like Xin Zhao to stem his power trip. Those champions then however, end up with a better chance of dealing with champs like Fiddlesticks and everyone else in general. To keep them in line, they buff THOSE champions which inadvertently make the champs like Fizz weak again. Or still strong, meaning they'll need another round of buffs to keep everyone equal.

That's a shit ton of work, when a little spot nerf to the freaky fish boy would of handled it about as well.

It is obvious, BLATANTLY OBVIOUS you have never worked with game design or game balance -anywhere-. One of the most irritating things for a designer to hear is that they're doing their job wrong from some armchair designer who has not even the remotest clue of how different aspects of a system interact with each other.

I do not defend the Champ Design, Champ UP, and Live Balance teams decisions, like leaving Yorick and Poppy in such abysmal states. Honestly, I'm surprised every time Riot releases something that works the first time you use it.

However, I do defend their overall product as they actually have a degree of understanding to what the game's code can actually accomplish.

League of Legends isn't a great game, but it's about as good as I expect considering Riot's history and philosophy.

actually its obvious you dont know wth you are talking about.

it would be simple if the nerfing riot was doing was USEFUL!

but its not. they even admit, they nerf based on champ usage and ridiculous stuff such as meta. blatantly ridiculous. each time they nerf based on these ridiculous ideals they end up RUINING THE CHAMPION. thus ruining the gameplay.

the one trolling here is you.

you would understand that if they changed to a buff only policy, that over time, all champs powers are balanced out, leaving it up to the players themselves to learn how to use the champs properly and in a skillful manner, then waiting for riot to come along and fix it for them, which is essentially whats occurring right now.
