The new Sion disagree's with me.

Hello people,

When I first heard about the sion remake months and months ago I was happy. I thought he'd get new skins, possibly a buff, maybe an art rework. But when I found out they were completely changing him, well, heartbreaking would be the word that comes to mind.

I used to main the old sion. I loved him, he was my best champion, my favorite champion to play. Whenever someone laughed at me for playing AD sion I just went and won a 1v3, a 1v4, or even a 1v5. Sion was that kind of champion that could win games. Hell, one of my favorite games was on Twisted Treeline, my 2 teammates DC'd and I was in a 1v3. It was late game so I was fairly tanky thanks to my e, and I just went and got a few tripples and won the game.

Now, this new sion doesn't agree with me. Every time I play him I want to quit league. He's useless. His q is so bad people who are exhausted can easily walk out of it. His shield is good, I like the new shield. His E, well, I can't complain about it. My biggest issue is with the q and the ult.

Like I said, his q is useless. It's such a horrible nerf to an amazing champion. Before he had a single person stun, but that champ ended up actually getting stunned. The new q is great in the jungle I agree, but what's the point of it if most champions can just walk out of it like it's nothing? I haven't went up against a single champion who I could actually beat with the new sion thanks to the no stun policy. With the old sion I only ever had trouble with Jax.

Now, the ult. I'm only complaining about it because I miss the old ult. I loved being able to get 154% lifesteal while doing 500+ dmg with crits. I used to be able to go from nearly dead to full hp in 2 hits if they were crits. Now I get a decent stun which I like, but he doesn't have anywhere close to the sustain I used to adore on him. The distance closer is a nice touch, but I'd still prefer the old ult to the new.

I also loved the e's damage scaling. I loved having more dmg than the adc, I loved having 500 AD in under 20 min, if I got fed than in under 15 min. I'd love to have that back.

I play with people a lot, and I haven't met a single old sion player who likes the new sion. Hell, most of the people I used to play agree with my plight. But then again, those people have seen me play the old sion.

This might get ignored, but I felt like ranting.

As a new champion Sion is great. His kit needs some work to iron out all the lulzcounterplay, but he's thematic and cohesive.

As a remake though? Sion is the worst remake that Riot has produced, bar none. His play pattern has absolutely nothing in common with either AD or AP or even Tank Sion. This is even more champion changing than the old Eve remake. At least Eve got to sort of keep some of her original identity as a champion. I'm not a Sion player, never really was. But this new 'remake' isn't a remake. It's a totally new champion. Would have been better off to just introduce new Sion as a totally new champion and keep the old one.

I've seen discussions asking to make the new sion a new champion and just update the visuals on the old.

Old sion had problems that you've pointed out: His guarantee'd stun and his obscene healing off his ultimate can be ridiculous when played right. AP Sion, the other build, had no room for counterplay since he'd DFG-Stun-Shieldburst-Lichbane and you'd die.

Also if you land his ultimate and then follow up with Q, it is a long CC combo.

Yep, I understand that. But the solution was to make the champion near useless. I guess it's the way I play him, but it's still no end of frustration.

The new Sion is horrible and should be reworked , I haven't seen such garbage in LoL .
