Great in potential - ends up terrible unless you decide to main him. You'll see him maybe 1 out of every 100 games and it's a main, or someone playing him for the first time, and is a feeder

I think you're getting pretty ahead of yourself.
He has barely been available for 24 hours.
Besides, you are underestimating his strength. Ivern provides strong utility. That is what supports do. He doesn't need to be a gank machine. Simply the fact that he shares buffs with his team after level 5 is such a huge benefit to any team that he will be a strong pick. He has strong jungle clear. He has a pretty safe early game. He can invade easily to provide excellent pressure on the enemy jungle. This will heavily pressure aggressive junglers.
Again, you're making this judgment way too soon.
I would rather have more champions like Kled than a bunch of Ekkos
