unranked in high silver game destroys rank integrity even if it is only silver

please don't put unranked in high silver games it destroys rank integrity, why don't you put the unranked in bronze and let them win their way up in the placement, just played a game where an unranked talon manages to pull off a score of 1/17/3 not surprising the entire team wanted to report him. this is not a good situation to put new players in.

There's no other option.

No, really. Mathematically in any ELO system, you have to start people somewhere on the ladder against people that already have a rank. That needs to be in a place of average skill statistically (you're trying to answer if the player is better or worse than the average player), which happens to be around middle Silver. They then move up or down from there.

For matchmaking to work at all, there has to be a number to compare against.

Starting someone out in low Bronze would be an awful experience as it's a toxic ELO. There be feeders and trolls.

Starting someone out in high Gold would be an awful experience as they would lose every single game.

Every ELO has its issues. Silver's happens to be more unranked newbies than average.

Whats the other option, put them in bronze where they will be stuck for an entire season with no chamce of escaping?

Silver is elo hell, this is my "main" account with something like 1k games and im only gold 4 were as my alt is plat 3 with about 60 thanks to having a fresh mmr.

Something has to be done to force people to play normals at lvl 30 so that they can learn ratjer than jump into ranked trash their mmr and ruin a game for 4 players.

thats just the uncertainty of people who are not ranked, your suggestion is mathematically as absurd as starting new players in challenger. the best estimator of unranked players is the overall population average, which is silver.

new accounts have somehow 1200 ranked MMR by default. why not base it on how they've played in normal/unranked games before they started rank? if they played 100 normal games and lost 80 of them, they still have 1200 ranked MMR when they start their placements. nice system they put in place there.
