ok guys i am curious of your opinion on the matter.

today i had a game where an xerath was blaming an losing game on others teammate then proceed on with verbal harassment until the jg ammue just couldn;t take it any more refuse to play the game with him unless he apologize.

now that the ammue certain broke the rules when he decided to stay in the camp and not come out when we are losing the game but perfectly had chance to come back. ( and we are actually starting to come back after once laning is over)

but i can't help but feel he is the victim and feel that there is nothing he can do to punish the xerath player except for going afk .

so what do you guys think one should do in this situation.

He could have muted Xerath

you can mute the flame but not the feeding

He is still very much in the wrong he has a mute button just like everyone else and could have muted the xerath. Xerath is also in the wrong but it doesn't excuse amumues actions.

Last I checked, the mute button still works.

My story doesn't matter much in this situation but.

I was support Ezreal (I know terrible idea, but it was bronze). We won botlane, went 3-0 with 80% tower damage, double cs. In our first win, the enemy mid Zed roams down and kills my ADC. I got out. In our second teamfight win, the enemy mid Zed again roamed down and killed me and my ADC.

But we were still 3-0 in lane, with double our cs, and almost first turret.

After the first death, my mid complains saying stop feeding my Zed. (I don't remember Zed's kill score, but he only got the ADC once). After the second/third death, my mid just starts saying ff, game over, I quit. Feeding my Zed. And I checked and yes the Ahri wasn't dying, but had no turret damage and even cs, and wasn't roaming to stop Zed.

Rest of the game. (We never surrendered despite Ahri making a new vote constantly). Ahri flamed me like hell. I tried to ignore (did not mute). I had 1 death, stop calling me a feeder. But it got to me, I just started playing really terribly. I wasn't flaming back and I tried to win. But it is hard to play under those conditions.

I'm not saying I suffered because of that game. Although I still remember it. Just that we were doing great botlane and then collapsed due to the flames (probably poor teamwork and such), but I did start playing poorly.

My suggestion would be to mute the xerath and keep playing to the best of his or her ability. Keep ganking for other lanes, keep playing, and if you guys lose, at least you did the best you could. Plus it gives you experience in how to maybe win unfavorable fights with strategy or learn how to escape unfavorable situations and could be a valuable learning experience.

TBH I blame Xerath more. Harassment is irritating as hell in this game, and it sucks. You CAN mute, but once the damage is done there is not really... Any way to improve the situation. I mean AFKing does not improve it of course, but I would be more bothered by the person bugging everyone. Though honestly I would blame the rest of the team a little. When that stuff happens you gotta try to defuse the situation and make everyone as happy as possible. LP #1 priority in ranked. If it's normals, you still want them to have a decent time. Report jerks post game ect.

Yeah i want to know how Riot will respond to This

This is the problem with this game. Here are specific problems with this situation:

*If someone is being abused, irl they are told to walk away or not deal with it. Instead, in this game, you are told to deal with it. Even if it lasts 2 hours. Yes, games can last that long and it has happened before, and even now.

*Being forced into an abusive situation like this will eventually affect your health. Forget your mental health, your heart will start having health problems (albeit temporarily) due to the abuse. "The brain shunts blood away from the gut and towards the muscles, in preparation for physical exertion. Heart rate, blood pressure and respiration increase, the body temperature rises and the skin perspires." [1] What part of this helps in video games? This aint no physical activity. The longer you are forced to stay, the longer it will take to get over it after and function properly after.

*The amumu is also punishing the team as well. Three other people are being punished for him going afk. However, we can also say it's Xeraths fault as well. This is where the blaming comes in and things get muddled.

*He could have muted him. That wouldn't stop other types of abuse like taking jungle from him.

*You are told to be a robot. Humans have emotions. Amumu has a player on the other side which is a human.

Unfortunately, Riot Games: "Just mute him bro."
