DQ prioritize team over solo players

Riot i understand that by making your queuing system prioritize team player over solo player gives you a shorted average queue time.

However as a solo player the experiences is less then pleasant

  1. I end up playing my secondary role more of often then primary choice because your system prioritize those in a team and give the role to them

  2. Alot of time when a game is cancel because some one didn't accept to start the game, my slot in the game would be taken out for some one who is ranking with team, this made me re-queue in to a new game which significantly increase my waiting time.

i can put up with a lower win rate on average for solo players, but the two above has made the game alot of time not fun to play any more as solo player

i don't know what you can do about it, i just hope you let you know some of the problems we solo players are having, thank you for your time

I'm almost certain that's not how it works.

After seeing all the hubub about DQ, I did some background research. So I'll speak as a social scientist, a mature player and as a recent migrant to the game.

There is an interesting stat which showed that the bronze and silver players did slightly better in solo ranked than in team Q. For example, see https://kwtrnka.wordpress.com/2015/08/25/predicting-league-match-outcomes-first-week-of-machine-learning/. I'll note that I found a couple of other similar bits of research out there.

Information like this would suggest that the bronze and silvers are obviously the most vocal group who are especially missing the solo Q option. This is roughly 1/3rd of the population of players. But the fact that the lower ranks were doing better in solo ranked also suggests these players were not really improving the quality of their play via the solo Q option.

Now let's turn to my recent experiences. I have noticed, after experimenting with both normal and dynamic queue lately, that is that DQ does tend to cut out the "I'm going to play this champion, despite what every one else thinks." or the "I am playing jungle and I don't care what anyone else thinks" mindsets. It does seem to force players to play more team-like. And the current system does require more flexibility on the parts of players.

I am not a "fan" of DQ but it does seem to be forcing players to re-assess how they play the game. Is it a good thing or a bad thing? Well, I am not sure. But I think by this point, players should realize that DQ is probably not going to go away -- at least not until a better solution is found. And it seems obvious based on postings by both players and by RIOT staff, that the old system was not working very well except for a very small group of players.
