So I recently received a shard for malzahar, which costs the same amount of essence to make into a permanent as it does to just buy him straight from the store.... So whats the point of the shard then? Cuz if I can just buy him straight from the store at the same cost, getting him instead of more essence or a skin just makes the whole damn thing seem pointless.
I'm pretty sure you're mistaken there. I don't have a Malzahar token, but i have a Kog'maw, and he's equally 4800 at the store, and 2880 if I upgrade him from his Token. What numbers are you seeing?
The store prices Malzahar at 4800 BE, and the token I have asks for 4800 BE to upgrade to a permanent. That's where the issue is, the shard has the same BE cost as the store, which makes me wonder why the shard is even a thing to begin with if you can just get it from the store.
