Loot Needs Patched

It is, in my oppinion, completely unacceptable to tie loot to the honor system in the way that you have. Your basically making it so that a players ability to utilize an entire facet of the game is entirely dependant on OTHER PLAYERS IN THAT GAME. This would work if it wasn't for the generally poor nature of the people who play this game.

As an example, I've played fifteen games in the last two weeks, and every single one of those games had a player, either on my team or on another, sometimes on both, who were flaming and raging about their performance, or otherwise belittling others for theirs.

At the end of every single one of these games, there was NO honor given to ANY player, because the bad behavior of one player made everyone want to just leave and not have to continue dealing with them.

Not entirely unrelated but not particularly important, A friend of mine got a chat restriction for five games I think, and he hasn't been able to earn honor or loot since. That was a year and a half ago, that too I think is unacceptable. It's one thing to punish people for their bad behavior, i'm not defending the guy he has a potty mouth, but it's another entirely to remove an entire part of the game because of that behavior, with no appeal available.

Furthermore I don't think that actually helps with the behavior, as My friend decided to just make an entirely new account and start over to start earning the loot, rather than put up with the excessive punishment. So your not actually helping anything, your just adding an extra step that these people have to take to avoid the punishment, which mind you is an entirely different argument.

Putting that aside, Setting up an entire loot system and then making it so that nobody can access it without an overly extravagant system of what equates in my mind to high fives and brown nosing teammates, just seems wrong. I for one have the entire chat system in game turned off, I don't like the flaming and I'd rather not deal with it, so to essentially be punished for not wanting to be harassed and abused by others is both unfair and wrong to me.

But as I said, that's just my oppinion.

Isnt the majority of games based off the other players? Winning is based off the other 9 players skill compared to yours.

As an example, I've played fifteen games in the last two weeks, and every single one of those games had a player, either on my team or on another, sometimes on both, who were flaming and raging about their performance, or otherwise belittling others for theirs.

Conpletely irrelevant but continue

At the end of every single one of these games, there was NO honor given to ANY player, because the bad behavior of one player made everyone want to just leave and not have to continue dealing with them.

So... you dont honor people... and complain that you can level up honor? And as people have said, you have no way of knowing if no one else honoured that game.

They didnt remove a part of the game? He can still play SR, he can play ARAM, TFT, Customs. All that riot took away is his access to free loot. Which is fair enough since he broke their rules, which he agreed to when making his account.

Furthermore I don't think that actually helps with the behavior, as My friend decided to just make an entirely new account and start over to start earning the loot, rather than put up with the excessive punishment. Hold up. Your friend chose to loose his entire progress... just for 1 or 2 skins a year?

Either he is really stupid or had barely played league, meaning he would hardly get any loot anyway. Making this entire thing completely irrelevant.

Putting that aside, Setting up an entire loot system and then making it so that nobody can access it without an overly extravagant system of what equates in my mind to high fives and brown nosing teammates, just seems wrong. So youre saying that riot shouldnt reward people who follow the rules and punish people who break it?

Wait a sec... you have chat off, and complain you dont get honors? Think about that a second. You dont communicate with your team, and expect to be honoured? Makes complete sense to me.

How do you know no player got honor?

Earning free stuff isn't a right, it's a privilege, it is no different then you getting in trouble at school and losing recess, or not being able to walk at graduation.

It is pushing him away from the players around him, also, I call bullshit. There is NO WAY he would start over an account over that, in what world does it make sense to start over?

Putting that aside, Setting up an entire loot system and then making it so that nobody can access it without an overly extravagant system of what equates in my mind to high fives and brown nosing teammates, just seems wrong.

It really isn't even hard to get honor, just play well and people throw that shit at you.

I for one have the entire chat system in game turned off, I don't like the flaming and I'd rather not deal with it, so to essentially be punished for not wanting to be harassed and abused by others is both unfair and wrong to me.

I don't think you understand what the word punishment actually means.

  1. Default honor level(2) is already enough to receive rewards
  2. Honor level grows even without actually receiving honors, its just a bit slower that way
  3. You can't be sure nobody was honored. You can only see your own honors and if someone was honored by 3+ teammates
  4. High honor level does not improve your rewards, aside from checkpoint capsules. And receiving key fragments from those capsules means nothing because your maximum number of key fragments per month is still 12(aside from those you bought with RP or event points) so you would receive them either way

you can get honor by just disabling the chat.

I would agree. Its too dependant on other players. Especially:

  1. when u fight with a team when 2 or more players know each other (club, friendlist, out of game) --> the honor probably wont be given to u but distributed among these specific players only since they want to boost themselves.
  2. in games u might even play good but for example the adc is playing bad and just badmouthes u the whole time as a bad supporter, blaming u for everything. Then the other player who arent looking at the sitution will think "oh he seems to not deserve an honor". The situation really happens often.

Sad is too, that it really takes toooooooooo long to level up ur honor system. I ve played several month til now and never got to lvl 3 honor. its just too hard. Additionally u dont see anywhere how far u got to the next honorlevel.

And by the way: I think its good to completly remove the bonus from the honor system for toxic players, so if ur friend got a chatban and dont get honor during that time, this would be a good thing. Some kind of punishment has to be. Its also good when it doesnt last only for the 5 games (done to fast) but way longer than the chat restriction.
