Since you're trying to make damage easier to see, how about making the game easier to see?

The option to make the HUD transparent would be AMAZING. A slider that lets you adjust how transparent the HUD is would be perfect! No longer will red side be at an inherent disadvantage due to the HUD getting in the way! Yes, I know you can make the HUD smaller. Even at its smallest setting it gets in the way though.
