I know Riven isn't liked very much, but can we do something about her auto attacks?

This may sound weird and I don't know how it is for other champs, but there's a huge problem I have with Riven (it's almost unnoticeable).

There's a certain "sweet spot" for canceling Riven's auto attack. There's a time in which the animation, visuals AND sound go through for the auto attack, but if you cancel it frame perfectly the damage for it doesn't go through. I think this was done to slow down her fast combo after the changes to auto attacks were smoothen out for everyone and Riven's fast combo ended up becoming TOO fast and smooth. However, this is pretty problematic when it comes to calculating damage and you expecting to output more dmg then you're actually doing.

It's nothing major, but it DOES happen a lot more frequently than you'd think, ESPECIALLY for those who do the fast combo on Riven. This can happen anywhere between 3-4 times (or maybe even A LOT more if you're really good at fast comboing or sliding through your auto attack animation) a game. I'd like to record it for you guys, but unfortunately don't have the time for it right now. Proof can be found by going into practice tool and attempting to frame perfect cancel your auto attacks. One out of every 10 of those should come out with what I'm talking about.

I have no certain way to fix it per say... but better indicators for whether the auto goes through or not would be nice. Also, if this is universal and not a special case, it'd be nice to have this fixed overall

I feel the same way playing Draven. It'll make the sound effects and do the animation, sometimes to the point it even will show an axe fly to the enemy and hit them for 0 damage, but then it disappears like it never existed

So that's why when I play Draven my axes sometimes disappear... that explains everything.

This is sort of just a thing with auto attacks. Maybe cancelling autos to get more damage shouldn't be a thing..

100% agree actually. It's rather hard to account for damage if you don't know how well your opponent is at canceling

The backswing of an auto attack is more for flavor than function.

Also, you’d be lowering the skill floor of almost all ADCs and AA fighters if you were to compensate (the game would not function if you kept everyone locked in the full AA motions)

I think Riven needs some sort of rework. Her kit is balanced about animation canceling which makes a to big difference between players that can do it and players that can't.
