Stop playing shit you don't understand the concept behind. I'm tired of seeing people pick Nasus and go QUASI BUILD when they don't even UNDERSTAND THAT IT'S A SITUATIONAL BUILD. Look, let me explain to you HOW that build actually WORKS. You want to NORAMLLY use that build when you're in a matchup where you think you'd normally be starved to death.

It's a build that works especially well against people that bully Nasus, and these are normally the squishy punks that gets chunked when you press E. If you're not LEARNING how to USE the new build, DON'T FREAKING USE IT.

STOP going MF support when you don't EVEN UNDERSTAND the fact that she's a COUNTER PICK and an EXTREMELY, I mean EXTREMELY, niche pick. Yeah, I had a MF support on the other team with a JINX adc. I camped the living daylights out of that lane and the team opened mid at 10minutes. QUIT IT.

Stop taking supports with smite (ESPECIALLY MUH'F-ING IVERN) and then taking YOUR jungler camps. If you're gonna put your bot lane at a disadvantage because you want to "counter jg" then that's on you. When you guys up and lose I'm not there to help you. When I'm adc, I freaking despise you and when you try to make plays and I don't follow up because the opposing side has 1 whole summoner over us that could potentially turn the tide in their favors, you better believe I'm not trusting you.

Stop. Being. SHEEP.

Wanna know why? You know what sheep do? They line up and do the congo dance while each one gets slaughtered and go "Oh, my turn next". Is that what you are? A blind sheep incapable of making rational decisions based on experience and knowledge that you currently possess?

Playing off meta is fine. Playing off meta while not knowing how it works is not. That's like picking Galio into a full AD comp because Galio has high winrate.

I don't mind off meta at all as long as I know you're doing it with a good purpose. I had a talon support, I've never seen one in my life. I didn't question him, I didn't rage or flame. Why? Because no one really did Talon support. I looked at his game history and he did it fairly often. We won that game. He was a great guy and not a sheep. He, my friend, was a wolf.

Galio is kind of a mess though, his passive says pick into AP teams but his ult and shield says pick into autoattack heavy teams

Pressing R in the middle of a bunch of ADCs is suicide. You'll do a shitload of damage if you can survive getting all those Vayne autos, but I feel like you won't get a fully-charged ult without her killing you first.

W has diminishing returns. You'll heal early game. Mid game you'll break about even. Late game you just don't exist.

Lol, who knows. It might just be. I don't think I've gotten any better at this game moving from Silver - Gold so maybe Gold is just the place of boosted monkeys. Maybe next season, without the whole dynamic queue, gold will actually be a place of people who are just starting to understand the game.

Mechanically it gets better. People feeding HARD in lane doesn't happen anywhere near as often. Decision making is still diabolical though.

Oh god... the thing that gets to me more than people dying before I can clear my 2nd camp is when we make calls and one half of the team goes one way and the other goes the next. I think those cost games more than lane feeders.

People need to remember that this isn't about making sure you always blindly follow the meta 100%. That makes you exactly as bad as the guy spamming MF support "because they did it in worlds lol", because blindly following the meta and blindly following weird pro picks is the exact same thing. The point is doing your research and understanding game mechanics. Understanding WHY you build AD before attack speed. Understanding WHY you would want to deviate from your normal build, or normal skill order. Understanding WHY you would play your weird off-meta memebuild and what trade offs you're making when you do that instead of something more traditional. When done properly, this gives rise to things like support Annie or Morgana(previously bannable offenses before they got picked by pros) but also things like tank Ekko and AP Yi. When done improperly, you get support MF and Nidalee and that guy who tries to play jungle TF and then gets executed by the first camp because nobody told him he needs to kite the jungle monsters, but you also get people like that guy who plays Lee Sin every game because Lee Sin has been in every pro game ever, and then he plays super passive early, builds full tank and wonders why he keeps losing. Don't be that guy. Do your research first.

I very rarely use the word "offensive" but there is nothing more offensive than people trying to compliment me. It is dishonest and incredibly irritating.

I actually find significantly greater comfort from the standard slings and arrows I receive given that they are always delivered with sincerity. It's very disconcerting to see otherwise.

TBH the tone of this thread is really offputting. Just came out of a game where our Lee Sin Jungle said "gg surrender20" at the start of the game because our midlaner picked Yasuo and we were full AD. Despite Lee's refusal to gank mid at all and being snarky all the time we actually were ahead for quite awhile. Until we lost 1 teamfight (we were still ahead) and Lee decided to flame in base refusing to help us.

Moral of the story: while the comp may be important, it is much more important to have a positive attitude.

I support people playing things they don't understand. You mostly fell down a lot when learning to walk, but now I assume you can walk just fine. Your parents could have been like, "stop even trying, you don't understand how walking works. I'm sick of you trying to walk just because you see other people doing it. Stop being a sheep and crawl because it's all you understand." However, I'm sure they didn't do that. This is a video game, and as a result people can do anything htat they themselves (yea, that's right, you aren't included in this part of the process) consider fun. Above all others things people should do what they feel would be fun to play. If you can't understand that and are another one of those people who think that all that matters in this game is winning and trying to look good then YOU are the one who doesn't understand how this works. I bet you're one of those players who requests for someone to ban a champ and if they don't ban the champ you rage about how they made you lose the game, and how it's all their fault. Respond if you want, but in my personal opinion, you aren't someone worth talking to so I wont' be responding in this thread again regardless of what you say. Learn how to video game right.

I'm talking about ranks here, everyone probably already knows that. No one gives a flying f--- what you play in normals. But in a ranked environment, the whole point is to win. If you're coming into ranks "trying" something that you're not 100% certain you can win with, you're hampering yourself and your team and I will never agree with that view of thinking.

I'm of the majority that "fun" is subjective, and I have more fun when I'm winning. That doesn't mean that I don't have fun when there's a pretty even and good game going on. When all is said and done, however, most games are a complete stomp and either very frustrating but rarely ever satisfying whether you're winning or losing. The skill discrepancy in this game is way too huge, especially Silver - low Diamond Elos.

Also, you legit just insulted me when I haven't insulted anyone in this thread. Maybe you should get of that Elitist attitude of yours and understand that what I'm posting here is based on a fundamental understanding of this game, not telling people how to play it.

If I wanted people to just STOP trying new things, I wouldn't even bother posting advice on the matter. All I'm saying is that people should understand the concept behind why people build/play/do certain actions.

PS: Don't try to guess the type of person I am cause you're pretty far off. I'm the type of person that picks a champ and goes to watch youtube videos and then scream at myself for not dodging when I look at my team comp.

Yup. Simply copying people is being a sheep. Copying with understand and reasoning doesn't make you a sheep, but it also doesn't make you a pack leader. Still, I prefer you be the latter.

:D Hooray! Though I rarely go support with Urgot because I need to meet a requirements before I do:

  1. I must be last pick
  2. The bot enemy laners must be all squishy. NO CC or tank supp
  3. My team must have a good ganking jung champion
  4. My ADC must know how Urgot fully works
