NEW - Passive: Black Frost

INNATE: Lissandra's abilities mark enemies with Black Frost, using abilities on enemies marked with Black Frost causes them too take extra magic damage.

Magic Damage: 35 - 115 [+60% AP]

I like the thought, but more damage seems pretty bland, especially since it would be the third of its kind with Lux and Leona already having the same thing.

I would instead go with, her spells leave an AOE on the ground that slows enemies. So say you Q, it leaves a slow zone. Your W makes a slow patch, her E is a wider slowing line, and her R is a massive slow patch. It would solidify her as the AP version of Ashe, and would make sense thematically. Ashe, Sejuani, and Lissandra are all CC focused utility champions. One is a carry, one is a tank, and one is a mage. Lissandra should have her utility buffed to be more in line with the other two, since her range isn't good enough to make her a damage carry.

I would support this too, and in fact I think having Lissandra lay down areas of Black Ice on the ground with her abilities could generate a lot more variety to her gameplay, as well as open up more opportunities: if Lissandra wanted to halt an incoming advance, for example, she could throw a Q into the empty area in front of her to slow incoming enemies without necessarily damaging them, and getting a proper hit on opponents with her E could slow down their escape as she moves in. It would also give her a better chance of surviving at closer ranges, as she'd be able to exert more control over the immediate area around her even if she lacks the raw damage to kill targets outright, or the raw durability to survive their attacks.

With this kind of theme, I've also always wanted to have a mechanic where a champion would create a zone of control, then activate that zone at certain times to punish everyone standing on it. In this particular case, if Lissandra's W not only rooted enemies around her, but also caused the root to travel across all of the ice in contact with the root zone, she'd also be able to lay down heavier crowd control with the right setup (and, for the sake of balance, this could be countered with an explosion delay, a reduced area, a higher cooldown, etc.). Riot has mostly avoided touching Lissandra's passive thus far because they only wanted to replace it with an effect that added proper gameplay (a problem the OP's suggested passive might run into), but the idea of throwing out persistent slow zones would be not only thematically fitting, but also potentially full of new gameplay.

Maybe something closer to "impairing enemies movements make them receive 10% more damage. Doubled for Lissandra"?

Edit: More thematic IMO, and closer to her current passive.

Idk it feels a bit too much like Lux's passive or, hell Leona's passive. If it was something like "impairing ms of enemy champs marks them. damage from abilities heals lissandra for X(%) amount of damage and deals Y (flat) amount of extra damage" would work a bit better but what do I know I barely play her, but I want to more.

I say allow Lissandra's abilities to leave a trail of ice and frost on the ground that allows faster movement speed. The increased ms could also be applied on ally abilities that also leave a similar trail of frost such as a Braum ult.

Dont crucify me but I like her curret passive. It allows for lane sustain for prolonged trades. I play around it in the laning phase.

I don't hate it and I definitely find it useful at early game because of Lissandra's high ability mana costs. But it just kind of loses it's usefulness later on in the game.

I don't hate it, but isn't it just more damage?

I guess yeah, there are other possibilities. Maybe decreasing the affected enemies MR or making them more vunerable to stuns (as in lowering their tenacity?)

Riot seems very big on the idea of more damage tbh

Liss really honestly doesn't have much damage unless she's ahead.

According to OP.gg Lissandra is currently the 2nd highest winrate 40min+ .

She needs early/ mid game buffs, her utility and that 75% slow on ultimate is very strong lategame.

I just recently started playing her again, she's so.. weak, but fun :D Her role in the current meta is a walking ADC peel, that's literally it
