Why is dragon getting buffed?

On PBE, the damage is being raised from 75 to 100. I'm not saying Riot shouldn't buff dragon. I'm just curious about why dragon deserves a buff.

This is exactly why they're doing it. As wick though you could probably just full clear the jungle once, back clear dragon side again and do it still.. so probably only delaying by a minute or two.

Honestly, because it's pretty pathetic in the damage department. Most champions can solo it before level 6.

Dragon base damage increased from 75 to 100

Dragon is suppose to be a team-based objective that requires cooperation. We feel that champions such as Fiddlesticks, Udyr, Aatrox and Nunu were doing too well in the jungle and were taking the Dragon too early. While we feel that early dragon is a good thing, however, we don't want it to come without risk of enemy invasion.

Fiddlesticks now deals 33% more damage using drain on Dragon Nunu now has 33% more damage when taking a bite of Dragon Udyr now deals 33% more damage to Dragon Aatrox now heals 33% less when in fight with epic monsters.

With item 3713 , basically any champion that can reach level 3 in the jungle before backing can solo dragon at level 3 currently if they have two charges of smite and use them wisely (does somewhat depend on time taken to get to that point, as dragon does periodically get stronger).
