Shen rework Idea

I think shen is a very interesting character. I do understand he's had many balance issues in the past, but I was thinking of a way to make his gameplay a bit more interesting and fun. By changing his scaling to AD instead of ap, it would give him a pretty decent buff, opening up more options in his gameplay, opposed to having to consistently build health. I was also thinking about removing his ult as a global, while also giving him the capacity to ult himself to give him a stronger lvl 6 presence in lane. A faster ult for team fights at the same range as zeds ult, and perhaps adding some utility to the ult would make his overall game play pretty bad ass. A counter engage combined with the ability to truly punish people who show a lack of respect for his faster ult in team fights would be amazing. Also on hit effects for hit q would be pretty cool too, like a botrk trinity force shen opposed to having to always build health, it would definately open up avenues for this char without giving him the same global pressure.

I'd say buff his taunt's aoe width or give him some freaking damage. He's hardly a threat 1v1 right now... very little damage on his abilities.

The best buff Rito could give him, is tweak him for jungling. Don't have any specific idea on how to tweak him that way tho. His taunt is a strong aspect of him along with the ult. Not having a lane to cover, helps the ult.

Buffing Shen for jungle just means increasing his clear speed and clear saftey.

His clear speed is pretty bad overall. His saftey is ok due to vorpal blade.

I personally think Shen needs some work strictly for theme's sake. He is a tank/fighter, and a ninja. Thematically, the only thing that is ninja about him is his dash (as its his only real mobility skill) and his ult (appearing out of nowhere). His overall movement speed is very slow, his energy costs are high and his kit is kind of boring and not interactive.

Shen could honestly stand for a rework. Although I will admit, playing him in the jungle feels more ninja than playing him in lane. Cuz you don't always know where he is :P
