The icon change doesn't confuse me. I know why they did it. All i'm saying, is that it looks like nothing now. Flat design always pisses me off, because it's a stupid trend. Minimalism is terrible when you want to be unique.

And graphical changes in game are harder to see for me, not because i'm old (i just turned 24, for god's sake), but because my vision isn't too good. Rift redesign still makes some things blurry for me because of that. And new item icons are a just a part of that.

Now i cannot just glance at an icon of a frostfang to know what it is. I actually need to focus my vision on it, which takes both time and some small amount of effort, which is undesirable in a competitive game.

Oh, and can you actually answer to someone without insulting them? Because what you are doing is pretty childish

Your post isn't the first I've seen to complain of visual difficulties with the current patch.

I think that the numbers in the lower left of TFT that show XP progress are too small.

Incidentally, yes, I have a good reason.

EVERY change, every new cosmetic, every little detail added to the client, has a cost.

Every time they add any feature to the client, whether it was the updated look to the lobby, or the TFT area, the client becomes slower and buggier.

AND ESPECIALLY, that @#$%^ area where the RP icon is, and the Loot icon. Don't you ever notice that you log in and it takes a few minutes for Loot icon to appear, and you need to swap to the store and back? And that until everything in the client has loaded, you can't really use it, even for chat? (Did you notice the past two weeks, when there was the extra "My Shop" icon, that that also needed to load in before the client was fully functional?)

Fancy icons have a resource cost. The client is already slow and buggy.

Reworks usually turn out horribly, so yes i have an issue with them too. Just make a new champion. Same resources invested, more diversity with the cast.

That's impossible. Everything has a cost. And ESPECIALLY if that individual is involved in client design, then they have much better things to be doing...

I mean, the Tencent thing is 200% conspiracy theory to the next level and then the next one beyond that. And I did read those posts, which is why I wrote mine. You weren't claiming that this is a new exchange into minimalism alongside the actual reason why Riot made the change, they're throwing it wholly onto the first part, and acting like that's the sole reason.

Look, I didn't like the new Riot games logo when I saw it either for the first time either. I didn't really care for the new League of Legends logo either, but honestly it wasn't that bad. But that's only for the time being. We instinctively recognize RP to mean the points because we've been used to that fact for 10 years. The new symbol is only hard to instinctively recognize because it's new and we haven't begun to associate it like we have the old.

At the end of the day, none of these things really matter. I've gotten over the fact that I didn't like the new Riot Games logo, nor do I hold some deep down hatred of it in my heart. You don't like a new design, oh well, they can't please everyone. Just don't act like it's apart of a greater meaning other than 'They wanted to make it look nicer', albeit subjective to each persons taste. But at the end of the day, you're going to adapt, you're going to change, and you're going to get used to it.

It's almost like Preseason is a time to shake things up anyways, throw a wrench in the works and force players to adjust to the new.
