Can We Please Change The Nidalee Nerfs Coming A Little Bit To Help Lane Nidalee?

Nidalee Pounce (Cougar W) cooldown reset on W to Hunter Targets and killing units in Cougar lowered to 3/2.5/2/1.5 seconds from 1.5s at all ranks.

I understand that these nerfs are a good nerf to balance out jungle nidalee and good job to riot for this! But I don't think riot ever thinks about the people that play Nidalee Top (Like Myself) or even Nidalee Mid. I understand that these nerfs will affect her early clear by quite a bit making her slightly harder to play in the jungle, but can we please make it so that like for say the pounce cooldown only gets reduced to 3 seconds vs minions/monsters and 1.5 against champions? Hitting a spear in lane is from my experience quite a bit harder because people could hide behind minions or people just get to see the whole cast time and dodge, but anyways I feel like landing a spear should feel rewarding because most of the time it is very easy to dodge and I feel like if your laning again her you should get punished for getting hit by her spear, say if i pounced in level 5 or 6 for a quick trade and then I want to leap out, I have to wait 3 or 2.5 seconds allowing them to do alot more back to you than they should be. Please, and if you still find it to rewarding to hit spear change the width to make it really hard to land from range like say change the width of 40 to 30 or 25 or something like that. Lane Nidalees not in the best spot right now but she is and will be what I love to play for a long time (specifically Bruiser Nidalee), I really don't want her laning phase to get any weaker, it already took a pretty big hit from the early takedown nerfs that happened a while ago. Please do something to help the Nidalee lane players Riot <3. I know I will probably get more downvotes than upvotes due to the reason of people just blatantly hating Nidalee but that's ok, I just really wanna get my opinion out and I hope someone in the balance team does end up seeing this and maybe considering! You want one of the most broken jungler to lane aswell? There are many champions that cant do even one lane well. Nidalee is cancer, W cd is bullshit.

Well her laning phase got gutted back in S4, the jungler nerfs have only hurt her more.

honestly? Jungle nidalee scares the shit out of me, but lane nidalee is so laughably easy to handle that she can lose lane to just about any half baked mid.

Throw any support mage in there and they can shit on her anyday anytime. Its a little sad to see her like that.

I can admit, lane Nidalee's are laughable most of the time until you face one that knows exactly what they are doing, they can make your laning phase a terror if played correctly XD

AP nid still has the stupid concept of "Dodge Q or die", similar to Bltz and Thresh. Just really annoying. Back when AP Nid was popular in lanes it was pretty much spear dodging simulator

They didn't give a damn about lane kindred before taking a huge axe to it, even harder than jg kindred. Was actually viable enough to succeed in high diamond in top,mid and sometimes adc. But not anymore, especially after the upcoming nerfs that further shoehorn the champion into the jungle.

Rip my 400k mastery dumped into kindred top. I pray for your nidalane survival.

i agree this pounce change is stupid.. i really miss playing nidalee mid and top lane, they are already barely viable because of the excessive nerfs to her that were directed at her "jungle"

like the removal of % hp on traps did absolutely nothing to hurt her jungle, all they had to do to accomplish the exact same thing was to lower the pre-existing cap vs monsters on lvl 1 traps from 200 to 50

all that did was completely destroy her support role

nerf her trap vision placement? again just hurts scouting.. which considering stuff like shako boxes teemo shrooms jhin traps give vision the ENTIRE TIME, and nid traps only do when triggered

the spear duration time? what like the jungle mobs care? this just hurt her laning.. in the jungle she is throwing spears from fog of war anyways

the removal of root?

what so now you make it so all the players below plat can no longer jungle with her so u can SLIGHTLY lower her clear speed? i mean seroiusly we dont ALL have the mechanics to kite perfectly like master and challenger players.

some of us played nid for years and learned her in the LANING phase.. and only took her jungle becuase YOU FORCED US TO!!! im sure you can come up with a nerf to her that doesn't make her near impossiple to play for lower elos.. let alone anyone below level 30 that are new player.. you try clearing the jungle with only 10 runes and masteries unlocked? its pretty freaking hard to not get executed on the third camp.. HELL i have been playing nid jungle for a YEAR i have been playing nid for THREE years.. and i STILL cant do it on my smurf.

i mean riot i LOVE the new nid splash arts... they look AMAZING but they don't mean ANYTHING if you to to make it so i cant even PLAY the champ anymore

Allow nidalee spears to pierce through minions, remove their damage per distance effect, tweaks some ratios.

Because that would make lane nid too strong. You can't even hide behind minions to dodge a skillshot. And the skillshot in question is a really strong one, as Nid is basically land Q and you die.

I mean it's pretty much the same as laning against any other mage, they get their combo on you and you die. Viktor has a linear beam that passes through minions Ahri Q passes through minion Xerath laser shock passes through minions

Nid is easily out-bullied by other lane mages and assassins because they have strong ranged waveclear and hard cc while hers only waveclear is the pounce swipe combo in short melee range.

Nid's Q is different in that it applies a mark, which is basically the sign for NId to all in. The mages you have mentioned use their abilities for poke or as dmg, but it's not part of an entire chain combo.

Their kits don't revolve around landing a Xerath Q or Ahri Q or VIktor E, Nid's kit revolves on landing a speaar, and there's no reason to make the counterplay more difficult.

I think Nid is supposed to have a strong mid/lategame(Brand like power curve), so yeah she should have a weak laning phase, which is remedied by her pressure with Q, and %dmg.

Nid's Q can be compared more with Ahri's E; When Ahri lands her E, she uses all her abilities. When Nid lands her Q, she uses all her abilities(in cougar form)

Context is very important. The posterm who stated they should pierce through ALSO stated that they should remove the distance ratio and lower AP scaling.

Yes, so Nid's spears don't have be thrown from as far.

So basically. the ration gets "averaged". It no longer does as little dmg as a point blank spear but doesn't do as much dmg as a mile long spear. It still doesn't change how laning phase is "Dodge the spears 24/7 or die as Nid turns cougar and facerolls her keyboard simulator" Nid's kit basically revolves on landing spears, making it pierce through minions just reduces counterplay for no reason.

How about you make BLitzscrank's Q go through minions, but make it do no damage? Would that be fair?

I understand the desire to buff lane Nidalee while also nerfing jungle Nidalee, but I still remember the dark days of AD Nidalee top in season 4 and how stupidly broken she was. As long as riot steers FAR away from AD bruiser Nidalee, then I think it would be appropriate to buff lane Nidalee. Maybe with the new ap item changes she's won't be as oppressive in lane as she once was? I'm not sure, but Nidalee is a very difficult champ to balance, you give her an inch and she takes a mile.

Please help out Lane Nidalee. I don't really care WHERE, she can even be a support, just make her PLAYABLE in lane.

I've got 3 skins for her that I can't even use because I'm awful at jungling, and when I bought Nid she wasn't a jungler!

This also brings up another point: Meta balancing.

There are quite a few jungle champs that simply cannot function (or BARELY work with really awful winrates) anywhere else besides jungle. Champs like Shyvana, Vi, Nidalee, Yi, Xin, etc.

I mean good lord, 40%. That's fucking AWFUL, and Shyv top used to be completely legit.

IMO this is indicative of a serious but obfuscated balance issue, and not addressing it just keeps causing problems.

Just do a complete rework. Whether it was the insane jungle clearing Nidalee, midlane spear nuke Nidalee, or toplane bruiser Nidalee, she has never been balanced or not dreadful to play against.

She was actually actually really balanced after patch 4.17 until I think it was about patch 5.2 where they decided to turn her into a jungler. But you know riot, they love screwing things over for the already existing players of a champion.
