Okay, had a conversation with someone who thought it worked.

WIth the way her abilities are aligned, the only thing she really has is her ult, which slows or stuns, and her miasma, which slows just a tiny bit. I suppose there's always her poison, but past lvl 3 she falls off because lack of farm. Her passive entirely relies on her stack getting up to at least 200, and wont happen until SUPER late game if you're support, even if you poke the enemies nonstop. You still need gold, and poking doesnt give gold.

Or is her poking/poison why she's a good support? She doesn't really buff her allies in any way though.

I used to play her in the support role before her rework because she had high damage poison. She's no longer good in the support role because of the massive nerfs on her poisons.

Yeah that's what I generally thought. She doesn't take the role of support if you put her on bot lane, she takes the role of making the lane double bruiser. Its an unexpected sight to see her on bot lane, but unless you're switching lane with the adc, I don't really see it as too useful.

It USED to work. And it worked well imo. Her going bot meant it was mainly a kill lane. You used to do absurd damage to the other laners and you wouldn't run out of mana as often due to the old passive. It was fun burning HP bars of the enemy laners.

But as of right now, I think it's near impossible. You're basically asking for a 4v5 (I mean, you already do when you choose Cass for at least 30-40mins) because 1) You're not getting stacks as effieciently = less damage. 2) You don't deal the amount of damage as you used to. 3) Her only form of peel is her slow and ult. Even then those can be missed which could lead to your death.

I have to disagree with you slightly on the whole poking =/= no gold. There are masteries (Utility tree) and items (Spell Thief I think) that give gold to you if you constantly harass. But yeah, you're really not gonna get that much gold out of it, especially since Cass as of now needs items and stacks (painfully enough).
