Aram champ selection hyper focused?
Is it just me, or does it feel like ARAM always chooses between a pool of the same champs over and over? It always seems to pick between about 20 different champions every time...and I have over 100...

It doesn't go by what champs you own, it just picks. Its all "random" for a reason.
At first I thought the same thing, but thinking about it more, I think the spread of champions is pretty even from my pool. However, it does seem like I tend to get the same champions at a n unexpected rate at different points in the seasons. Like some champions I obtain very little within those 6k games I've played. Very few Ezreal and Jhin games, whereas I got to play a lot of Swain, Teemo, Tryndamere, Twitch, and Malphite in previous seasons.
Aram is not truly random. I own every champ and 9 out of 10 games i roll and see the same champs. It also priortizes rolling the free rotation champs over ones not on rotation.
In your last 20 arams you have played only 2 champions more than once. You can test it out. Play 300 or so arams without trading or rerolling and tell us which champs were the ones you got the most.
That's random for you. A couple of years ago I got Jax 5 games in a row and I owned at least 100 champions then. In a true random system you can get the same result a billion times in a row, although that's very unlikely. Humans are very good at seeing patterns where there are none however.
You get the same champions over and over because of the reroll system. Nobody wants to play champions they hate, or champions that are bad for aram. Someone rolls a nidalee/xerath/kai'sa its extremely unlikely it will be passed on. Meanwhile Rammus/olaf/Xin/ etc are far more likely to be rerolled, and therefor end up in games much less.
Inconsistencies are remembered far more. Get the same champion 3 times in 3 games? You remember that. Fight xerath twice in a row? Game MUST be rigged. Our brains just work like this.
