Sion taking red buff at level 1 is a strategy that is slightly noob trap

Taking red buff as Sion (or blue buff) can help him a lot and give him a good lead over his laner. However, there is a huge risk by trying to do this.

The number 1 risk into taking the buff is that it could lead to a kill to the enemy.

Imagine if a top laner goes to the red buff and stays in a bush while Sion is trying to take the red buff. Then, Sion gets close to dead and the top laner decides to go in and kill him. This leads to Sion not getting that lead and also giving fb to the top laner. He gets all of this and Sion has to burn tp. Now, I do realize that this could rarely happen. I would say about either 1 out of 3 or 1 out of 4 this happens (these aren't stated statistics). However, I do not think that the buff taking is the best idea. Just note, if you try to do it as some other champion and not Sion, the percentage of it working would go up due to the fact that it is less widely known on that champion. However, which champion can solo it I'm not sure since i would have to test it. Also note that I am not a Sion main (I'm actually currently 1 tricking Poppy ) but I do think that this is a bad idea.

Tldr: taking buffs at level 1 as Sion top lane is usually too risky to be a good idea.

In seasons past, a top lane Sion would execute to one of the camps, clear the camp during his death passive. Respawn pretty much instantly. And he could TP into lane with Level 2 and a bunch more consumables. (Personally, I did a variant of this that allowed me to enter lane with Crystaline flask, and a cloth armor)

Riot tried fixing this, and a few other XP exploits, by pushing the Jungle XP onto it's items. (Also, no more XP sharing on Jungle camps)

Since Tilteralla showcased it in one of his videos.

Tldr. Sion sneaks into the jungle and takes as much damage as he can from minions or T2 turrets. Then before he dies he gets the buff to exacute him. He uses his passive to kill the buff and possibly a low HP enemy jungler who came his way while doing this. Then he resspswns with the buff and TP's to lane with it.

Its cheesy but any top laner who's not a total fucking wanker will know to just stay and watch the buff and ward it when they leave if they vs a sion. As long as somes guarding the buff Sion wont risk it so its easy to counter.
