Hello everyone.

Many of us have that one champion we enjoy the most and can play a lot. I have played aatrox for years i know what he is: his lore, his looks; that is why some of us liked him, played him even when he was awful, bad. His voice, his lore they were great. He was a mystical being that was older than runetherra itself, by mamy he was considered a god of war. Before in his lore he was spreading chaos for reasons known only to him, many worshiped him, because for the losing side he was a saviour. His lore was changed, he became a weapon... Not even a demi god just a warrior. Now we know even more he is a destroyer, nothing twisted, no mystery, just destruction. About his looks after rework, i can not complain he looks ok, BUT his Justicar skin did not received different recall animation. I would rather see 2 old animations, than 1 new. Voice. This is where you fucked up insult. His Voice was way better before. Russian voice gave feeling of a demon, chaos agent/leader who was calm, yet savage/brutal and merciless. And you made another screaming insult, egoistic being. When FUCKING WHEN OLD AATROX BRAGGED ABOUT HIMSELF? I am destroyer blalala. WTF? Do you even listen to community??? I wad going to return and play aatrox again, but if i see voice (calm and brutal) and recall animation on justicar (different from original) are not chaged, i think game will remain uninstalled. Have a nice day summoners.

What bothers me about the VO, aside from some really poorly written/voiced lines, is just how similar it is to so many other bruisers. There was once a time where champions like Aatrox and Galio were both calm, collected characters, who each brought a certain intelligence to their approach to combat. When Galio went from an observant sentinel to a big, dumb hunk of rock, I complained then that he was too similar already to meatheads like Vi, Zac, Malphite, and was at least glad that we still had fighters who weren't so loud and obnoxious. Cue Aatrox's VGU, which decided to take that, dial it up to 11, and make him the loudest, most obnoxious fighter character yet. Not only is this a horrible fit for Aatrox as we knew him, the fact that it made him more generic I think is inexcusable.

It feels like there's some internal directive within Riot that says that every part of a champion must convey their class, and that this was somehow interpreted to make every support some sexy nurturing lady type, and now every fighter a shouty, punchy, angry brute. Despite Riot's major advances in world-building, it feels like there's sometimes a major lack of creativity when it comes to writing certain characters, and the fact that this was done in spite of a playerbase that has been vocal in saying exactly what they liked about Aatrox is all the more worrying. It doesn't feel like Riot listens to the playerbase at all when they end up this far off the mark.

Yes, he became "just a warrior"... the same way the archangel Gabriel is "just a warrior."

They changed the Darkin to be more arrogant, like the fallen angels of the Bible. They are literally the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse afterall, and their visuals are based on the Devilman anime, which is the most anime version of the Bible ever.
