Assassin meta don't last long
ADC meta, even if it isn't their meta, somehow they are still really relevant
We have not had a true assassin meta since season 3/4, and will never have one again because of how the game has changed

I donno. This meta is already: instakill . ADC, Assasins, Mages - is all about burst damage potential. It's boring and 0 rewarding.
Assassin meta is usually one of the better metas though. Superior to tank meta, superior to ADC meta, and superior to chunk bruiser DPS meta.
Also, ADCs are ALWAYS meta. They're non-optional in a teamcomp unlike everything else. That's the only reason people bitch about assassin metas. In any other meta, the role that is countered by the role that is meta declines in play rate and just stops being prolific. When it's tank meta assassins stop appearing for instance. But when it's assassin meta ADCs can't disappear because they're the only role mandatory in a team comp, so someone is forced to play them despite assassins dumping on them.
If you want to fix the game the first step is introducing additional new siege and DPS options so ADCs aren't mandatory on a team.

I like assassin metas alot. I think they are fun to play and the game changes from a front to back team fight oriented game to a game with tons of skirmishes (where assassins thrive).

Tank meta is the best meta and the healthiest for the game. Fight me.

The only time assassins are strong is when penetration is busted and resistances are useless. Think back in season 3 when everyone used to rush penetration (i.e. Brutalizer + Last whisper/Haunting Guise + Void Staff). For assassins to be generally strong, it means at least two other classes (tanks being one of them) have to be under-performing to compensate.
Pretty much every meta on Summoner's Rift is an ADC meta or at least that what it always degrades into. They're the only class of champions that are absolutely necessary to win games on that map. Riot always ends up nerfing whatever reliably kills ADCs, then they proceed to take over almost every lane.
At least Assassins have to be close to you to twohit you...
Assassin meta is basically a smaller adc meta, since adcs will abuse assassin items again and be better assassins then the actual assassins
The assasin meta wont come as long as janna is meta. She staves it back like a divine protector of everything adc.
