Revamp supports

Revamp the support role. It's the only role that requires someone else to do, well, anything. You can't push, you're not supposed to cs, you can't make a play unless you have follow up. Ever since the nerf to tanks and the buffs to assassins, teamwork is at an all time low. You either harass or stand far enough back not to get harassed. Oh, of course you place wards, but Sightstone shouldn't even be an item, what other role wastes a slot like that? The only build order is gold item, sightstone, locket. No full build. Who needs a full build when you don't do much anyways?

Besides having to wait 3-5 minutes to get into the mindnumbingly long champ select if you don't have support or fill as one of your choices, supporting is unrewarding in game. They're the most likely person to get flamed and by far the least exciting. There's a reason we see non-support champs like Brand, Trundle, Morgana, Annie with regularity.

Support is the only role you can't take anywhere else with the exception of alistar top/jungle, no longer. Lulu can go top or mid, but that's it. I know it's asking a lot, but do something Riot.

There really isn't anything Riot can do about it. Supports are in a healthier spot than they ever have been, in terms of build options and available champions. The problem with supports right now is entirely a community issue. People don't like supports, and as you've demonstrated yourself in the first paragraph, people treat them like a playable minion with no menace (simply put, what that champion can do to you that would make you hesitate to act) or impact on the game. It's an extremely narrow-minded concept that the supports are worthless because they don't get all the kills.
