Your logic is faulty. If the people complaining about those champs are all low elo trash then their MMR means they are mostly matched up AGAINST low Elo trash. So either those champs have so much utility, mobility and overloaded stuff in their kit that even trash can play them well, or your skill argument falls apart.
Overloaded champs aren't cancer only when the people playing them are skilled. They are cancer in any match up of equally skilled players, since they have so many more options than more binary "easy" champs. In fact, it's the "easy" champs who are often brought out to counter those hyper-mobile dash-spammers.
shits on
pretty hard. So by your logic if these champs are "super high skill OMG" then surely they lose all the time in bronze, right?
Except LoLking is telling me that Yasuo has a HIGHER winrate in bronze than in diamond. Hmmmmm... Maybe... just maybe... all this overloaded kit BS is better at creaming low Elo players who don't know how to deal with it, rather than high elo players who will just lock in a "noob champ" counter and wreck his world, then never let him back into the game. Bronze players, even against a subpar yas making a ton of mistakes, don't know how to shut him down and end the game before he matters again... and eventually he will. Why? Well because of his kit. Shut down Zed and he can split push. Shut down Kali and... she's an adc... her endgame is strong by default. Shut down Darius and he builds tank and still has his dunk to finish off kills. (Also, who the heck is complaining about Darius? He's the most kited man alive) Shut down thresh and... he's a support, who cares? All he needs is CC and a lucky hook to matter. Even Zyra has a tone of CC to use and win fights, even if she's behind. In fact her utility is so strong she's played as support when she was meant to be (and originally had the scalings of) a mage! She's still one of the most damage-dealing supports in the game.
What your post is, is poorly veiled elitism hidden under a defense post for your favorite overloaded champs. Sure, a diamond Yas player will shit all over bronze players with him... but a diamond player will probably shit all over bronze players no matter what he's playing. That doesn't make him a high skill champ... it makes him a pubstomper. He's right there with Yi and Katarina. High skill champs too, right?
But go on. Look up my elo and post about it and how not playing ranked much makes me automatically wrong about everything. You'll just be proving my point that this post was all about fluffing yourself and acting smug about rankings than anything of merit. The champs you mentioned are overloaded. They can do a ton of things that other champions simply CANNOT do. It's not just CertainlyT. All the new champs tend towards over-complicated mechanics and overloaded kits full of mobility, utility, burst and all that nonsense. Example:
. It's simply fact. It's clearly the way they're taking the game. But that doesn't mean a person playing Taric getting outplayed by a Thresh means the Taric player is noob. Taric is VERY mechanically simple... but that means he can't DO much to thresh without thresh having an answer for it. It doesn't mean that the bronze Taric auto-wins vs the bronze thresh because thresh is more complicated. In a lot of cases, the older, "simpler" noob champ has a much, MUCH harder time in the match up because of how limited his options are.
And if your answer to that is "Well Taric is awful, it's their fault for picking him"... then you're saying that those overloaded champs ARE superior. Because that is what people are complaining about, my elitist friend. That they can't pick champs they like and survive against these overloaded champs with insane kits. Maybe that bronze 5 player would LOVE to play a simple champ and not have to deal with complicated mechanics and kits... but if he doesn't... odds are the overloaded one will ruin him. And it WON'T be because his Bronze 5 opponent is a god with them. It's because they're just BETTER. And THAT is the problem.
