Talon can't use faceroll 2x 
for easy 800 gold. I am in a position to talk, because I've tried 2x on any APC and it makes them godmode faceroll (only exception is those who build

Double D-ring is like an 800 gold investment that says "my mana regen is now half as good as your manaless spam" when going up against a manaless champ.
More to the point it's an 800 gold investment they don't have to make. As such they can instead spend it on 2x long sword putting them well on their way to a brute while you still have no upgradable items to your name. And you can still OOM, they're still immune to it.

Mana AP champs have superior harass/poke than energy or resourceless champs. Ahri/Syndra/LeBlanc/Lux with 2x Dorans ring are OP GOD MODE, they never go oom, they get a lot of HP and AP. Don't try to hide your OP faceroll option, kthxbye.

Plus, I have rarely came across anyone who chose the pitiful amount of mana regen over the movespeed mastery. By the time you get chalice after 6 minutes in lane, that mastery is non-existent.

Drunk Rummate1 votesReal talk, as someone who mains Ahri and Azir... yeah a couple doran rings solve your mana issues or at least manageable to a point where you can pretty consistently win lane against energy champs. Vlads a different story because he just goes boots + 4 and sustains through all of your harass and turns it into a farm lane. OP as hell. But I digress...
Main point is that double dorans makes farming and laning pretty good for mana-based champions. Just learn to mana your manage and you'll be fine. Also nerf Vlad :D
