So, my last few games there is always a Sona building AP. She is the most OP champ I have ever seen. She always does the most damage to champions on her team.
I even faced a Sona mid with Syndra, and she was winning the lane. Her Q, outranges pretty much everything except Jayce's gate blast.
Anyone else notice this?
Sona's Q has a range of 850. That's outranged by a ton of abilities, not to mention Syndra's own Force of Will and her stunballs. Just harass her with her own minions. In addition once she blows q-powerchord on someone she has no offensive capabilities for 8 seconds. Beat her in with your q during that time!
Any champion with a silence or stun will tear her to pieces as well. Her defense is paper-thin, and her only escape is a small movement speed boost.
Any sort of mr reduces her damage considerably as well.

Syndra's Q is only 800 range. And AP Sona hits hard. If I use mana for Q,W,E I will run out of mana so fast, and then Sona will just heal herself and continue to poke with that ridiculous range.
I haven't seen any Sona Mid lately, but she IS dominating the support tiers. Sona has a 55% win rate in bronze that just goes up as you increase in elo to 58% in plat+. I don't think her ranges are the problem - I think it's her numbers that are too high. Her level 1 poke and level 2 healing are just too strong for anyone else to compete with. She doesn't have any real counters, either - the best "counters" are Blitzcrank and Soraka, and both of them still only have a 47% win rate against Sona.
