Achieving an S Rank On A Gank Oriented Jungler much harder?

Hi, I mainly play gank oriented champions like Gragas, Rammus etc and I find it so very difficult to achieve an S regardless of my score whether it's 5/1/12, 7/2/15, 10/6/24, 7/6/24 and I've seen worse scores attain S ranks so it's quite frustrating. I assume it has a major part to do with the amount of CS I have, but since I'm a gank oriented jungler with relatively slow clears (Rammus) I can't attain the rank with ease at all compared to etc etc.

Anyone else experiencing this frustrating issue? I would tax my laners but I don't think it's healthy that Riot would implement a system where you have to actually deprive your teammates to achieve it.

I play alot of kha'zix and I can agree I can this problem once in a while. But if you kill some lane minions or deward this adds to your CS, just clearing a stray wave when it is pushed up is beneficial.

You're compared to others on the same champ in the same role, not compared to particular numerical cutoffs, rather precisely for the reason that different champs have different play styles. Grades are based on your percentile performance compared to all other players in the same champ/role combo, so if everyone on the champ tends to do poorly in one area (e.g. cs), then you won't need much in absolute terms to still be able to get a good grade.

If you're getting lower grades then you'd like, it just means others on that champ are actually doing it better. It might be that they're managing more cs, or it may be that they're dieing less, or managing even more kills/assists, or just having better objective participation and/or warding better. Lots of things go into your grade, not just kda/cs though, so sometimes what looks like just ok performances in those terms can actually be S grade worthy if you've made up for it in other areas.

It probably is harder. I play Shen jungle and get S ratings all the time, along with the occasional S-. I think I've gotten S+ once. But I get a shitload more kills than the average Shen because I rush Bloodrazor whereas most Shen junglers probably go Cinderhulk and focus more on being a huge tank. I would imagine on most gank oriented junglers you would need a pretty stellar KDA. There are other factors like creep score, wards placed, etc. that might be impacting you as well.
